I have had 3 tickets open since release. 1st ticket I closed without response (few days after ticket creation). 2nd ticket was closed after a canned response of "We are investigating.” 3rd ticket is still open (has been since 9/11).

As you can see my name is Lulizarti. My account name is Lulizarti. My support name is Lulizarti. But, my character name is not. Why? Apparently the letter combinations of “Lul” do not work and are restricted. Support can fix problems (occasional jumping on Reddit and escalating issues). Even within the first week of the game you jumped on Reddit and solved this exact same issue with a few people. You have the ability too, but for some reason, almost 3 weeks into the game, you can’t give a customer a rightful answer as to why I can name everything Lulizarti, BUT my character (other than “known issue with names”). That doesn’t help.

Oh and to just get some /rant on, there are bots named “fsfdfdfdf” and stuff that looks as if someone smashed their head against the keyboard. Yet I can’t get a simple name of Lulizarti. Every game, Lulizarti. Is it so hard to ask for a response and help from support on such a seeming simple problem?

I personally have addressed this issue with a few people. Perhaps you were one of those, but if not, you should be aware that the letter combination is currently blocked by the Name and Word Filter because it is offensive in one of the key languages that people use in Guild Wars 2. Although we are working on this and hope to make the use of the letters possible (when in an inoffensive usage), we don’t have a timeframe for rolling out the updates that have already been incorporated into the code.

I’m sorry that you’ve waited and this will be addressed. In the meantime, please do not make multiple tickets, as it slows your response and those to your fellow gamers and is entirely unnecessary.
