my mail address with which I created the account is not entered for some time … Now I find myself struggling between hackers who stole the account and against the policy of Anet too rigid. I only get back there as I lost the account and my money. I am very unhappy with this situation, especially as I do not like Anet has behaved in respect of a client who has entrusted to her spending money and time. I did not use malicious programs that go against the game but it was some hacker. so I ask you a second chance since I was very unlucky in this situation. if they shall recover my account be contributing to the growth of Anet and not to destruction as he wanted to do the ahcker. please restore my account thanks.

Although I am happy that my account was restored swiftly this doesn’t seem to be the case with some of the other players who posted on reddit regarding the Metrica JP bug.

These guys shouldn’t wait 1 more second if proved that they were wrongfully banned. It is already 1 week since the incident.

In response to my ticket #130626-001168.

I have to ask what did I do wrong? I did not get banned until after logging off from the Metrica Province JP. So something happened that night. As far as third party programs on my computer there are none. I play RIFT, TERA, and Aion still all the time and funny they have not banned me for third party software. It would be helpful to know what I did wrong so I can correct the action. But all I get are generic replies. I guess at this point I will not be allowed to play GW2 again, which is fine but I would like to know what I did wrong.

I was a long time fan and supporter of the game, I had the GWAMM title from GW1 that I worked hard for and would never have jeopardized messing up my GW2 account. Anyways, I love your game, just wish I knew what I did.

This is my second account. I decided to come back after some absence to make an appeal. The ticket that I had my friend posted for me (130531-001982) is still remain unanswered in this thread and was closed in the support after inactivity, which I assume the support think is resolved.

My case has nothing to do with Metrica JP, but tampering and modifying the game? That’s a very vague reply that to this day I still have zero idea what it could be about.

As I just wrote in another thrat, we have the same problem as a few other people here.

My son’s account got banned and we have no idea what went wrong.

Only the templated-replies from A-Net like ‘complete confidence in our detection’ and ‘confidence in our conclusion’.

As kalvin we played GW1 already a couple of years, bought GW2 during beta and we would never jeopardize messing up our GW2 accounts.

This is on behalf of one of my longtime friends. [Ticket number 130614-002358]

He was supposedly banned for 3rd party programs, although I believe his assertion that he was not guilty of this. I was the one who convinced him to buy the game in December. He didn’t play often, and when he did it was usually with me.

A month or two after he bought the game, his gmail, gw2, and other gaming accounts were compromised. Upon recovering his email, there was a 2-factor authentication email from ArenaNet for a location in China in the inbox.

I can’t say for certain that whoever attacked his account is what set off your alarms, but I know my friend wasn’t using a bot.

I’m posting for my friend who can not log in at this time.

My friend purchased the game through a brick and mortar store, but has since discarded the box (and CD key along with it). After a break from GW2 he’s coming back, but can’t remember his password and is unable to reset it due to it requiring the CD key which he no longer has.

Have you tried deleting most, if not all, your in-game mail? A full mailbox is the number one reason for delayed deliveries. (The counter is somewhat bugged.) Good luck. =)

Hello. My friend was out of the country for 3 weeks and when he returned and tried to log into GW2, he discovered that his account has been banned. Before he went away, his account was hacked, but he was able to gain back control with anet’s help, but now he has been banned even though he did not do anything malicious. One theory that we have is that his previous hacker went against the terms and conditions, but his banning was delayed. He really did not do anything wrong and i just want to play with him again.

Please review the punishment for the issue in ticket #130718-001933 which was closed without response and the subsequent ticket # 130720-001011 which was marked as duplicate.

I am resorting to an appeal because account admin team is keen on keeping my account terminated.one month repudiation of account access is a proportionate punishment for an account which has seven thousand achievements and more than seventeen hundred hours invested in it.
All i am saying is that ‘a review of violation history’ and ‘punishment at hand’ be reviewed for the said matter because i have already suffered one month of suspension. A clear cut ‘no reply policy’ is not the answer. A more skeptical approach to the issue will be much appreciated.

I submitted a ticket several days ago (don’t have the ticket number, unfortunately), to check the status of my wife’s GW2 account. It was activated on 4/24/2012, but has not been used since early on. Now she wants to play, but the login info I wrote down in my password document is not working (perhaps it expired due to inactivity?) I have the activation email from 4/24 with the user ID (don’t want to post it in open forum just in case). What should I do? Please contact me for additional details – thanks so much!

He says that at last notice, the ticket was being transferred to the accounts team to reset the password, but it’s been two days since and they have yet to provide any updates for what seems like a simple password reset.
