Hi, i very recently just deleted all my characters (not high level) so I could play with my brother on another server. I’m still new to the game, and apparently I’d picked a bad starting server. I accidentally transfered to anvil rock and now i have to wait a whole week to play if i can’t get to blackrock. Is there any way to waive the wait time since i have no characters? we really want to start playing and if we have to wait a whole week i dont think he’s gonna want to!

Not that I know of. The week is kind of locked in, short of support helping out, and in the past they’ve only moved characters as part of restoring an account after a hack.

For that week time you can guest onto your friends server. The only limitation is that you will be unable to participate in WvW.

Yes indeed, you are correct, my bad, forgot about that part as soon as I started writing. I so hdislike small screens. Perhaps a good excuse to try out a different profession for a weeks time, save up items and money that you can put in your bank to get off to a fast start fir new characters once you move again.

Bu do put in a support ticket. May not be able to help you but a gentle asking because of a mistake never hurts and has sometimes been granted.

If your game is WvW Blackgate is extremely stacked sure you will win more often but your opponents from time to time will be non existent. The new rating system will not guarantee a good matchup.

Anvil Rock is not a bad server when compared to other servers it is around. It has some rather [insert some choice words as a compliment] WvW guilds in it. My server SBI which is mostly a bunch of PUGS few WvW Guilds to speak of is having a hard time keeping our rating with them even though we have superior numbers.

So you might have more fun if WvW is your game having your brother transfer to Anvil Rock. But other factors may apply in your situation. Anvil rock is not a bad starting server. You might actually find it more new player friendly due to it is lower in the ranks.

You could play pvp to amuse yourself while you wait the 7 days…you’re up and running straight away and can experiment with different professions and builds. I JUST started pvp this week after playing since launch and having SO much fun…. if that fails to amuse you go fishing instead =)
