Unaceptable name?
Reference to illegal drugs (even if it isn’t illegal where you live). Change your name and move on.
but this name is not a reference to it … amalgamation of the names of two women who are part of my life. who does this kind of analysis? a machine or a person?
Although it means something different to you, it can be a reference to an illegal drug to many. Your only recourse is to change the character’s name, as unfortunate as you feel that is.
It is really hard to deny that name isn’t referring to the name of an illegal drug with an X added the end of it.
I would say you just have to wait out the 70 hours, and rename to something acceptable .
I would change … but my account was suspended for 71 hours … I play in the sea of ??sorrows is north america and from what I know most of the states it is not illegal.
I’m playing some sort of evangelical game?
marijhuana writing well does not remember the name of my character …
Most of the states it IS illegal, as well as being Federally illegal. If you can not access the game to change your character name, it may be because you have been suspended previously, or had to change a character’s name in the past.
I was never banned in any game, I’m not in any guild in the game by not finding one with mature players like me who own 32 year old … anyway real life comes first … but I am very sad.
I thank anet by this system that banishment may suspend several accounts of users who actually want to offend other players
Sometimes, an account that needs a character’s name changed will temporarily show as suspended, but after a short period of time, can be accessed to change the name in question. You might try logging in, periodically, to see if this is the case for you.
You can change your character’s name after you sit out your suspension. Please be careful of your name choices in the future.
“Marijuna”, the player’s character name, is not the spelling of the ‘illegal in some places’ plant, “Marijuana”.
It has an entirely different pronunciation without the ‘a’.
It changes from “Mary-Who-On-a” (or “Marrow-Who-On-a”) to “Mary-June-a”.

Killing is illegal almost everywhere and yet you see lots of names with it. So naming after a plant is a banneble offense? Anet really got some weird name policies.
It’s impossible to know every name that could offend anyone.

“Creative” spellings are also not allowed. Nice try.

Seriously? A plant?
“Reference illegal drugs or activities”
I can guarantee that argument is gong to fail.

I do not like your adding the “nice try” to your comment.
Nowhere did I state that I disagreed with the mandatory character name change…
I was simply stating a correction to the above posters who were stating that the player’s name was that of the plant, which it is not. Even with the name being innocent and justified in nature, as well as the lack of that ‘a’ causing the word to be pronounced entirely different from the plant, its visual similarity to the forbidden word does qualify it as needing to be changed and I actually do agree that it should be changed.
Also, on a personal note, be careful with citing the Code of Conduct…I was infracted 2 days ago simply for pasting a section of the Code of Conduct into a comment that was pointing out to a poster the section of the Code of Conduct they were in violation of. Just looking out for you.

Well not a plant but you know what I am talking about.
I have basicly been using my nickname since quake 1, and it’s also a drug :/

I think it’s less likely to be “creative” than just misspelled.
Mariju a na is an illegal plant, but this name is Marijuna. Notice there is no second a. He didn’t put Marijuana in his name so technically it is not referencing an illegal drug. It is however, only one vowel away from being a drug.

As stated before, creative spellings are still going to get you suspended.
