Guild Wars 2

Hello all,
I would like to start by saying what a great game you have created and how the guild members I am fortunate enough to have are really enjoying it. I would also like to provide some of my background so my situation is more understandable. I help run a guild with two other people while working and attending school.
Today I decided to work on recruiting more members during off peak hours since I am off from both of my previously mentioned duties. I decided to go to plains of ashford and type a very simple message saying who we are and that we are committed to providing a fun environment to master your class. I would go around the zone helping other players and completing the zone discovery. Every ten minutes or so I would post the same message to entice players to message me if interested. After the 3 time in 45 minutes I noticed that my messages were now being suppressed.
Curious, I thought, I have not been spamming as they claim, perhaps I offended someone. I will just wait a half hour and then I can continue to recruit. Two hours and three tickets later I am on these forums calling for a change.
The truth is that we all want to see a clean gaming environment for all. I want this just as much as everyone else. But in order to run a guild, you need to be able to recruit. Please fix my message ban as well as the other message bans that are unjustly leveled on people working hard to make your game better for your paying customers.

I ran across this issue as well. Nothing I did I would have considered anything close to spamming – I had pretty much the same experience as Karsusk. Since then I just let my guildies do the recruiting.

Hey just got back, I don’t have the ticket number, and I have already left the zone. I just wanted you guys to be aware that the system isn’t working quite as intended, and I am glad you have responded as that means alot to me.

ive had it trigger then 20 minutes later i still couldnt say anything in /say /map till i closed the game completely.

I was asking in chat for a dungeon group last night and became suppressed from making any more messages. I am still suppressed from saying anything in any form of chat now 12 hours later. Yes I have closed the game multiple times and I have also put in tickets but I fail to understand how this can happen in a MMORPG with no dungeon grouping system and heavily promotes building guilds.

I’ve run into this issue before. I was talking in Guild chat (actually chatting, not sending a repetitive message) and I got suppressed and had to wait a few minutes before I could talk again. I also hit it in party chat when I was trying to ping some drops to my party to see if they wanted them. Both incidents seemed very odd (never saw anything like that in GW1) but I haven’t noticed it again in several weeks.

I was ‘spamming’ a message in /say during the balthazar event reminding people to run back. After 3-4 messages in /say I was blocked from all chat for over 10 minutes, this is a seriously stupid problem.
