account name changed
Account Names are only changed upon request. If you mean your Display Name (what shows in-game and on the forums), either it was found inappropriate or an error was made. You can contact CS to discuss the issue, if you so desire.
Ahh, saw what your name was, and here is why it was changed:
We do not permit names that:
Make inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions

Good luck.

i am refering to a tv show character….. don’t think this is inapropriate
There is nothing that anyone on the forum can do for you. We aren’t the ones you need to convince. All you can do is contact support and make your case with them.
Not all TV show characters are appropriate. The TV has one set of rules and ArenaNet has another. There’s no clause in there that says “but you can totally use forbidden words if they’re on South Park.”
The three-letter word at the end of your original name is not allowed. That’s all there is to it. Arguing about it here won’t help.

How in the world do you and Inculpatus know what his original account name was?
Involuntarily-changed Display Names are anagrams. ; )
…and if you bring up the OP’s previous messages, some of the copied ones have his original name.
Ohhh. Okay.

But it is against the naming policy. The fact that you are arguing your old name is not inappropriate is troubling…..
Fate is just the weight of circumstances

Sorry, but references to bodily functions are just not appropriate. Please keep in mind that every name is visible — there is no filter for names. So we ask our players to choose wisely, and to not use names that are outside the Naming Policy.
