Problem is that since this morning i cant login to game or forum with this account cause it says that my ID or password is invalid.Its not typing mistake cause its always saved and on auto launch,since then i been changing my password like 10 times and after i do it game and site works normal but after i log off its lost again so i need to reset my password every time i want to login.I already send ticked and wait for response.System scan is done and all malware and trojans are deleted.My characters are there untouched and since i lose access always like 10 sec after i reset my password i doubt its hack..its more like anet forget my password or something.So atm with this same account i can be here and write but when i try to get in game it says its wrong ID or password,same whould happened if i log off here.Every new login-new password reset :/

The website username and password are the same as the game. If you can log in here, you can log into the game. Might wanna’ double-check your game username and password to make sure they match the ones you’re using here.

OMG man…..i know its the same how does some of you dont get it….When i log in to the game its the interval between when i make account and arena net forgets that i made it….if i login fast i can play game but few sec later i lost it and i cant login to site or GW2 game at all even though game doesnt kick me out still i lost it and cant login without reseting again…I can play game cause im already loged in like now on site…i reset password and loged in here….but i failed to loged in fast in game so cant login with same this password there and if now i log off from this site too i cant use same password again…i need to reset and this time my password was lost in like 4 sec …im running out of ideas for password arenanet….and i cant use those that i did before cause they are already “taken”

Finally some1 who understands me…..when did this start to happened to you?For me started yesterday morning.Still happening,i had to make new password just to come here and write this,still wait for ticket response i send yesterday,i run out of ideas for new password lol

is it possible your keyboard switches from country? from for instance usa international to dutch.

It does so when you press ctrl and shift together to.

If you have had any trojans of virusses on your pc, it might be a good idea to do a clean install of windows.

Im not trying to be rude Sandra and im glad that you at least and this people on forum try to help….since anet doesnt…but last 2 days im getting seriously kitten ed off cause of entire situation.First of all i dont know if this is some anet error or is it hack….if its hack then my characters can be deleted at any moment so u can understand why im losing patience…..and on top of that people telling me how i dont know to type,or i dont use mail as my account ID or doing some keyboard switches really….at this point i dont see help comming from anet so i dont see where this really going.I understand that anet might be busy cause there are lots of people with problems i guess but they could at least tell me something like “we noticed you problem and we working on it” or something….so that i know they actually noticed me.Like this i feel completely invisible and dont know does help coming or not..i just want to know does any1 care at all about my problem and when i know i can wait but like this i might wait,lose my characters and later all i can do is quit game and i really like it :/

It frequently takes 24 hours before you get your first response from support. For that just wait a bit more. It took me over a day to get back in game when I had a problem requiring support.

I see you have another person with the same problem and another person just made a thread in Account Issues about the game forgetting/deactivating his password. It’s possible this is a game bug. If so, then it may not have an immediate fix as they will have to look into the problem and then fix it.

You may wish to update your ticket and tell them there are other people reporting this and that it may be a game bug.

Okey Astral thanks for info,i go check that thread now….at least it seems less a hack now so i can relax a little lol,and i will send another ticket since first i send i got no response and was over 31h since i send it i think

Don’t make a new ticket, they don’t like it. They will only deactivate a second ticket as duplicate. Update your first ticket with any new information.

Okey and thanks,yes its vary annoying and reason why i dont play Gw2 last 2 days….and the thing is that my brother plays too on this account so 2 persons are vary annoyed by this but just me complain on forum XD. Since yesterday me or him changed over 20 passwords i think and run out of ideas lol…i ether spend like 1 min thinking of password or just put something random cause all previous passwords i been using are “already in use”.I go update my ticked then,thenks for help

Im pretty sure that every1 except you understand all of it cause it seems that Astral and Sandra understand it quite well….if your intention is to troll around on forums then go do that on general chat not here,i might not write perfect language but your post doesnt help on my problem atall still….if you didnt understand what i wrote then there might be something wrong with your english too ;3

Do this:

1. Go to another device (smartphone, iPad, PC, etc.) and change your password ONE more time. Don’t change it after that.

2. Find out what it causing the problem on your computer. I’m willing to bet there’s still malware present or possibly a rootkit. Fix your PC BEFORE you attempt to log into the game or forums with the infected PC.

Yes, your posts could have been a bit easier to read, although I got the basic gist. I was pointing this out with a little bit of humor included.

Right there can be a big part of the problem. Your sharing the the account with your brother. He could be changing the password in between the time you play or evening logging in from somewhere else which will knock you out of the game.

No man….. we play on same computer and same room lol,hes not changing anything,its some bug it seems,i hope it gets fixed soon

I see a your thread was moved from the Tech Support forum to Account Issues. Oh well. I guess they would know, but I still suspect a bug.

Have you tried not saving your password in auto log in? Maybe there is something odd going on with that. Or, checking what password is saved in your browser’s tools before attempting to log in. That might be where all the confusion happens in your system.

Might not want to post that you are in violation of the User Agreement on this forum when attempting to get assistance….

Isn’t it possible that part of the issue is that 2 people are accessing the same account?

It is VERY unlikely there are generic password / login issues with ANet’s servers when nobody else appears to be posting this type of issue.

EDIT: I see now where there ARE a few others reporting some similar issue, so there may BE some sort of log in bug (but it is NOT generic as I was just able to log in just fine).

Having the same issue, ran two virus scans, neither found anything malicious. Fresh installed GW2 and the problem still persists. I can change the password and if I log in FAST enough, whether it be the game or forums, I can get in. If I delay more than 5-10 seconds, it’ll say invalid account name / password.

Ezzyz.6045 i think i found solution for this problem,my account currently working fine for more then 15 min but will see for how long will last,if everything is good after few hours from now i will write you here how to fix this problem,atm im not sure is this permanent fix or just temporary so after few hours when im more sure i will write here for you and every1 on forum.I hope it helps

Just a heads up to anyone else experiencing this, I took the advice of someone in some thread and unticked the “remember password” box and it appears manually typing in your password each time you log in fixes the issue.

Thanks for help Jayne but No…nothing that simple fixes the issue or we whould not have so much problems with this for days…problem about this is mail and nothing else,Ezzyz what u need to do is contact support,send them ticket and tell them that you want them to transfer your account on another mail and write them your new mail on that ticket,you must use mail that is not anyhow connected with GW or GW2 account so best make new mail and i suggest you to not use hootmail.I hope this help u too as did for me.
