so I have a legendary kudzu and sunrise and 2 precursors howl and rodgort’s flame. before this patch they were already transmutated cos I had recently been hacked and I didn’t have a lvl 80 to equip them to, but they have been transmutated for ages, and now anet removes the splitters, and I need to split them to make eternity and the other legendaries. and now my legendaries have lost their status completely, they r no longer called sunrise and kudzu, and this is anets response to my ticket explaining my situation. I understand you transmuted a Kudzu and a Sunrise. At this time, we are unable to fulfill your request. However, please feel free to contact us in the future if we can help you with other issues or concerns. what should I do?

Well, I guess you shouldn’t have transmutated your legendaries on weapons you were using to level-up. From that moment onwards, they were no longer legendaries, just skins. And that’s all you have now. That’s not related to the hack so I highly doubt Anet will do anything about it, even if they could.

Still, isn’t the skin the most important part of the legendary? at list you have two, and a few precursors. You can look pretty for what it’s worth.

It was announced some time before the patch, that if you had transmuted your Legendary, to use a splitter, to get the original back. This was even before they were removed from the Gem Store.

They also announced they would not be able to replace transmuted items. Sorry for your loss.

Bro whats important with legendary isn’t just about the skin its also about the fact that u can change the stat whenever u want.
A lot of people have this problem and i hope ANET will be considerate about this.

Well, he did choose on his own to transmute it on another weapon. He’s solely responsible for it, it’s a problem he’ve created himself.

Submit a ticket and I’m sure support will help you out. I’ve seen other posts here where support provided a splitter to resolve such an issue (but I have no idea if they will give you 3 or 4 of them).

I m sure he s not the only one who did this… They should bring back the Splitters in TP

I think the fact that it was removed and not put back up is a sign they are seeking a REAL solution to the “can’t salvage items with valuable upgrades” issue. This was a pretty big oversight on ANet’s part when putting out this patch, so I think they know they need to resolve it in a acceptable manner (tho, I do wish they would reply to the MANY MANY posts here and says something (maybe they have and I just missed it).

Anywho…..I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are working on a solution that is not so horribly expensive.
