+1 agony resist bug
I’m affraid it’s not a bug. If you have two +1ar infusions and combine them through artificing, you get +2ar. You need two +2ar infusions to make one +3ar infusion.
In your case, you need two +5ar infusions to make a +6ar infusion. It increases by 1 ar each time. So to get +10ar infusion, you need two +9ar infusions.
but i just wanted my +5ar to remove the +1ar one and that did not happened as it just replaced the +5ar one that was currently in. What am i supposed to do now with +1ar in one of my infused rings how am i supposed to upgrade it, would the +5ar infusion be replaced again leaving the current +1ar infusion… ???
An artificer can turn 2 N AR infusions into a +(N1) AR infusion. So you take two +1 infusions and make a +2. Get two +2 and make it into a +3. Seems to go up to +10 for now.
YES I REALIZE THIS. But why did my +5ar infusion not replace the +1ar infusion in my infused ring????
There are two types of slots and infusions now. The old infusion goes in the old slot, the versatile infusion you can but with relics or the other previously available infusions. The new infusions +1, +2 etc go into the new slot. It sounds like you were trying to put two of the same type of infusion into the two different slots.

pretty much this.
Before there were
- Offensive infusion slots, defensive infusion slots and utility infusion slots
An omni infusion (like versatile) could be inserted in any of those.
Now we got another type of slot
- Offensive
- Defensive
- Utility
- Special (dunno the official name)
The new infusions (+ 1/ + 2/ …) are meant to be put into the special slots. They can only be inserted there (?) and only those fit in there.
Versatile infusions fit into offensive, defensive and utility slots, not the special ones.
So ANet just forced us to continuously run 31 FotM shard to get a + 5 AR infusion and pay some money for it to get the same as we did when we infused a ring before.
