Alright, so as the title says. I finally got 100% World Completion tonight, and got the Been There, Done That achievement. However, I didn’t get any rewards, is there anything I need to do first?
I tried going to Chantry of Secrets.
I tried going to all of the main cities.
Currently visiting all the old maps (for the food skills point bug)
But as far as I am aware, these only effect actually obtaining 100%. Has this happened to anyone else before? What do I need to do.
Lame, I wonder if something broke lately. Also as an update, I finished visiting all zones again just in case (holy waste of money ), and checked out PoIs in Heart of the Mists.
So this is still a problem for me, I’ve submitted a ticket, submitted a bug report, and posted here…
Is there anything else I need to do, or am I just at the point of waiting now? It’s really disheartening to think that I may not get my Gifts of Exploration needed for crafting my Legendary.
I found that I had missed one small poi way back in Kessex Hills just south of the Cereboth Canyoun Waypoint. That poi is located inside a lava cave way back in and I had apparently not gone in far enough the first time I went there to trigger that poi.
However, what’s more to the point is that once I got it I still did not see any special gifts but the title and the email with congrats in it.
The one thing that I finally figured out was that there was a small gold star with a blue center in it just above my mini map for the longest time. I initially thought it was the item that gave me the gold star for completion so never investigated it.
The other day I mentioned this in my guild chat and someone asked me all these questions to which I answered the proverbial “yes” to. Then he said did you click on that gold star above your mini map yet? I had not done that because I was unaware you were to click on it.
Sure enough, once I clicked on it I got my gifts. I think Anet needs to make that star much more obvious and shake just like the chests that appear there for zone completions. I would never have thought to do that because that star just sat there doing nothing but looking pretty.
Check your screen and see if you have that star and click on it if you do. Hope this helps.
If you are talking about Mafic Core, or Isgarren’s View, I already have those, and as I said. I already have 100% Map Completion, so I’m not missing any points that need to be discovered according to the game.
I unfortunately have not seen a ‘gold star’ above my mini map though. Thanks for the tips, but still, no go.

I could be wrong, because I haven’t completed it yet myself, but as I understand it when they added Southsun Cove the POIs and WPs were not added to the totals required to get 100% world completion, yet they count towards it.
Which means there is the possibility that you could get “100%” and still have a zone or two not actually finished. It depends on whether the gifts are given for reaching 100% or for exploring the whole “original” map. Again I’m not sure since I have not completed it yet myself, but I’d open the world map and hover over the zone names to see if any are sitting at 99%, just to be sure.

I had 2 friends with exact the same problem… and each time it ended with. “Oh… I haven’t accepted the reward here”…
And each of them was so sure it wasn’t he’s issue, but a bug…
100% doesn’t mean you have to get the gift…
Dunno if it wasn’t intended this way or not, but you get the gift after taking/receiving all the rewards for visiting all the maps/areas.
You may have all POIs/Vistas/100% on map, but you could have forgot to take the reward for one of the maps => no gift for you.
So revisit all the maps/areas starting from “Chantry of Secrets”.

I have completed the world, but have not received the two Gifts of Exploration.
I have gotten the normal region completion award (2 pieces of equipment, 3 transmutation stones, bunch of crafting materials) as well as the title, but the Gifts of Exploration (which are the reason I did the world completion) are missing.
About 1 week ago i also completed 100% World completion and received the map rewards and title for world completion but never received the two Gifts. I placed a bug report everyday since and have yet to see or hear anything.
edit edit: *sigh. Second time running to each map and I finally found it.
A missing reward? Or it popped out without any obvious reason?

It was a zone completion rewards chest. I hadn’t opened it yet. I loaded into Rata Sum (as the final map I needed to check after my enjoyable world tour for the 2nd time) and sitting there on the right hand side above the map were two icons, a Chest (zone completion) and a yellow and blue star (world completion).
Opened them both and got my reward. I would suggest just going to each map/zone, and making sure you check above your minimap for the rewards chests.
That might be best. I was told that this has happened to others and they were able to get the rewards by going back to the Chantry of Secrets. However, this did not work for me. Anyone have any other suggestions/ideas?
I have found out what caused this for me. Apparently I have missed to open the reward chest for the Grove. Once I went there it popped up, along with the world completion reward.

went to chantry of secrets then it popped. which is odd, since I am order of whispers I must have been there through my personal story at some point.. anyway, strange bug at least there’s a work around!
