Here are a few audio bugs I have experienced during gameplay:

  • Alarm – This is nonstop, is not controlled by audio settings, and is not fixable without restarting the game. It is played at full volume and even when GW2 is muted in background.
  • Hammer – This is random and seems like a notification, but has no meaning. It also plays full volume, even when GW2 is muted in background. It is not constant, and the timing seems random.
  • Running Water – When in water combat, there was a audio effect of running water, supposed to sound like splashing, that was played at full volume. I believe it mutes while GW2 is in background.

If anyone can add to this list, post some details.

I’m getting the alarm as well.
I end up muting the speakers until I can exit GW2 and restart. It seems to happen where there’s a lot of action on the screen — lots of players v one champion.

Thank you very much for letting us know. Indeed the alarm, as well as other sounds, has been noticed by other players and our team is aware of it and working to fix it. I will move the thread now to Game Bugs, since it fits more there.

I only started noticing this after installing the latest Nvidia driver.
I have no idea if that’s relevant, but I thought I’d let you know.

Hello.

I experienced that within humans story line cinematic audio dialog just stops, but animation keeps going. On several story cinematic the dialog sound just stops. It’s not a big problem but would be good to check it out.

yep, alarm sound bug, it hapenned when we were fighting a big world boss, when there was lots of ppl around.

Any updates on the wierd alarm “vuuw” sound that happenes if there’s alot of people?
