Guild Wars 2

So, I’ve been running into this for a few days now, I’ve tried opening the game in the launcher before the error arrives and it’s gotten me no further, so it’s not just the launcher and I’m no IT genious.
I’ve tried repairing data archive, I’ve tried moving it and opening it from another disc after repairing data archive, and now I’ve deleted all contents and re-installed.
Everything ran smooth until just now and I’m hoping finding out where this serious error starts helps solving the problem if anyone out there has any expertise on this, I don’t think there’s any harmful information on me being leaked if I post this here, but would love a heads up if I should censor some of this information that I post.

Im back to play GW2 after stopping for a while, I download the game till Dat file size is 15gb then launcher start crashing immediately after launching. Error i receive is here.

I tried most of Command lines, Deleting Local.dat File (and Folder), Deleting GW2 temp files, running both 32 and 64 launchers, I deleted the whole game folder and redownloaded and crash happens at same Dat file size, Tried from another Laptop and same problem at same dat file size. Deactivated anti virus, Disabled Firewall. Running as Administrator, Windows XP compatibility, and still same Problem.

If you encounter the same problem on a different computer, the problem is likely the asset server. You can try a different one using the following the command, or you may want to try using a VPN:

Gw2.exe -image -assetsrv drwkwiejruot6.cloudfront.net

As a simple test for software conflicts, you can try running it under safe mode. Press WindowsKey+R, open msconfig and under the boot tab select safe boot with networking, then ok and reboot.

I ping the ips and all replies and no lost packets, I found my old GW2 folder and the dat file size is 17gb+ and now its downloading, i think it bypassed the crash point, I hope lol

Firstly, I just want to say a big thank you to the support team who helped me recover my account

I want to return after about 5 months away. I also have a new laptop (windows 10). So I use the discs to install the game. The discs do their work without any problems. But the client then crashes when downloading updates. It has crashed twice now, and I think at the exact point. If I open the client, it starts downloading from the same point and then crashes immediately again. Please help!

So, I’ve been running into this for a few days now, I’ve tried opening the game in the launcher before the error arrives and it’s gotten me no further, so it’s not just the launcher and I’m no IT genious.
I’ve tried repairing data archive, I’ve tried moving it and opening it from another disc after repairing data archive, and now I’ve deleted all contents and re-installed.
Everything ran smooth until just now and I’m hoping finding out where this serious error starts helps solving the problem if anyone out there has any expertise on this, I don’t think there’s any harmful information on me being leaked if I post this here, but would love a heads up if I should censor some of this information that I post.

in your case I would say that from the last part the error log. there is some http error that is the communication with the server something is bad either from the program or the server or there is http communication error somewhere that cause the issue.
