Once upon a time Anet made collections so the players would have things to do while waiting for new content to arrive. Within these collections there were three items known for their rarity and the price of them on the TP reflected this. Pendant of Arah (started around 1k sell), Commissar’s Manifesto (sell 350), and Sam (400 sell). Pendant slowly went down since there were plenty of places you could get it, Arah P1-4 and Eye of Zhaitan (even if the escort pre takes up to 50 min to spawn), so its price slowly dropped down to 300 sell. Commissar held steady for a long time due to the event being buggy and having no player fixes, but one day the magical devs patched Higgins and the event never bugged again, all the players rejoiced and the price steadily dropped down to 100g. Then there was Sam, like Commissar the events attached to Sam were liable to bug hence the inflated price (still 360 sell), but unlike Commissar the magical devs have yet to patch the numerous bugs with this event, even though its been this way since launch. Since the event was never patched players started finding ways to ‘fix’ the event on their own, sometimes having to spend an hour just to unbug it before getting to actually do the event. However Every once in a while, and more often as of late, bugs appear that players can’t fix on their own! queue crowd shock and horror So like the gods of old, we pray to the devs and hope that one will hear us and occasionally check on Fields of Ruin because its basically always bugged and we can’t ‘guest’ on another server anymore.
So the story goes on, with two happy items, and one causing riots and player angst (ok fine all three do, but two to a lesser extent). Maybe one day soon™ will come and this event will be fixed, until then I plan to keep harping on the issue and since this isn’t a bug report there is no reason to move it to the ‘bug’ forums where it will fade into obscurity.

Wait!? You can get Pendant of Arah from the Arah Dungeon!?
I know you can the blue version from the dungeon, but I wasn’t aware you could get the exotic from the dungeon. I thought it was only from the Eye of Zhaitan event.

In any event. I agree. Ogre Wars really needs a fix. But the Eye event isn’t so bad, it just has too long of a reset time so that makes it irritating.

I just need Sam and the Pendant of Arah to finish my collection.
