A trading post issue
Can anyone give me another tip? I’m running out of ideas on how to fix this huge trading post loading time.
You cleared the GW2 cache? Made sure nothing was interfering with the Coherent program?
If you continue to have issue, you can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below.
Good luck.
As stated in my first post, the cache was deleted ( like 20+ times ). I am hoping to find some new tips here, because tickets in this period are not a very good idea if you want a fast answer.
You just said ‘cache’, so it was unclear if you cleared the GW2 cache or your browser cache. Nothing about Coherent, either.
Good luck.
How can I know if it’s something problematic with my Coherent UI? The game runs fine, only the TP is broken, but not getting any errors, just huge TP loading times. Cache was deleted both from the game and the browser.
Just the trading post, or also the gem store? The BLTC is a web page rendered in-game and on some systems it may render slowly, causing very low FPS (choppy animations) where everything is going to be delayed. This can be caused by an integrated GPU taking over, vertical sync and Windows 10. Try windowed mode and exclusive full screen as a test.
If it’s just the trading post, the core web page is loaded up front, while transactions are handled through the client itself. It may be a problem with the account itself; the simplest way to find out is to test a different account or computer.
Certain browser plug-ins will interfere with the TP, because they (the 3rd party apps) try to be helpful by applying settings to all browsers. Since the TP (via Coherent_UI.exe) is just a browser built in to the game, it can be affected.
So you can try clearing out the browser’s cache. Or set a different browser temporarily as your default — if that makes the problem go away, your work is cut out for you.
But before you do any detective work, start a support ticket. ANet’s tech folks are usually quite good at helping players resolve exactly this sort of thing. If you happen to succeed on your own, great — close the ticket. If not, you’ll be in the queue to get help sooner.
I have that, too, at times. I believe it is a server-sided issue (when there are a lot of people connected at the same time).

There are all sorts of reasons a website can be slow to load and given how many people use the TP, some of those reasons will affect some players about the same time. Coincidence is a more likely explanation of several people experiencing TP delays at the same time.
Well, Coherent UI seems to run fine, a process explorer app shows no bad dlls interfering with it. Changing the main browser barely made a difference, and the same goes for the window mode. Overall it seems the same, long loading times for both the TP and the BLTC. I really don’t know what to do more, except for a ticket. And in this period, a ticket response would most probably take a while until someone will reply to it…. oh, and the account was also tested on another pc and it had no issues.
If the account had no issues on a different computer, then it sounds like something on this computer is interfering with the BLTC/TP.
Check all browser-affected add-ons/programs? Other 3rd-party programs?
Your friend, if that is who is having issue, or you, if you are having issue, whoever is the actual account owner having difficulty with the TP, can get their ticket into the queue for CS Team assistance. Make sure it is the account owner, as the CS Team won’t respond to a friend submitting a ticket on behalf on someone else.
Good luck.

Which is why I recommended creating the support ticket now, to get you in the queue. Don’t wait until you run out of ideas on how to resolve this.

As Inculpatus said, that is strong evidence that the issue is the computer, not GW2 or Coherent_UI directly. The easiest way to narrow it down to a specific browser is to temporarily set any other browser to be your default (via Windows settings or in the browser’s own options) — if the problem goes away, it’s the (formerly) default browser or one of its plug-ins.
