I do the Auric Basin octovine event on a practically daily basis. I nearly always do West, and up until a week ago, if you hit the octovine square on with your shroom, you took off two slime layers. Not so for the past four to five days. No matter how well I line up with the octovine, I only take off one layer, and I’ve noticed it’s the same for every other player who explodes their shroom. (I watched the slime layer counter in the UI as they exploded – only one layer removed for them too)

I’ve probably done octovine four to five times now, and each time it was the same – only one layer removed at a time.

At the same time, in map chat people doing north have complained about their side also being bugged/more difficult. Seeing as I haven’t done north, I can’t speak to whether or not there has been an actual change, but it seems worth noting.

This started around the time of the last patch, but I checked the patch notes and nothing about Auric Basin is listed. Octovine is still doable – out of the times I’ve done it since the change, we only failed twice, but both times I wasn’t on a very organized map. Nor did South have enough people/armors/knockbacks, so I don’t really blame the changes for the losses.

Is this jump in difficulty intentional or a bug? And has anybody else noticed a change?

Auric Basin octovine event is bugged. slime covered tendrils on north take no damage from herbicide spray or turrets.Its been like this since last patch.
