So after today’s patch I ran AC explore path 3 with some people and when it got to the part where Tzark turns your party into ghost all my utilities vanished, including my elite. Not cool. A fix would be nice.

This bug is still present, and as someone trying get six of the Superior Monk Runes it’s pretty frustrating. Acknowledgement on this bug would be amazing so I know I’m not going crazy here.

Looks like you were given the transformation from Potion of Ascalonian Mages. Effect is exactly the same except the potion adds an apple buff icon. And 0 works for leaving.

Also nice timing on that screenshot.

Yeah, well hitting 0 didn’t and still doesn’t do squat for this nonsense. I appreciate identification of what might be connected, unfortunately it doesn’t fix the bug or even give an indication that it’s being work on.

I had this on my engi yesterday doing path 3. I thought it might be something to do with my weapon kit because I run with a might stacking flamethrower build, so I dropped my bundle only to be left with duel pistols which I haven’t traited for at all as my only skills. It meant I was all but useless for the rest of the dungeon when I had been doing quite high damage, especially on burrows.

Hitting 0 does nothing and seeing as the tool belt skills are still there skills 6-10 must be as well, they must be be covered over by a glitchy transformation for engis.

A solution to this bug would be great.

Just happened to me and another engineer during path 3. The game continues to allow us to switch our skills, and we still have access to using f1-f4, but pressing 6-0 does nothing. Makes us useless for the rest of the dungeon. Fix this please.

Having happened to me on my flamethrower engi the other day it also happened to a guildie ranger yesterday. So far the only guildies reporting this problem are medium armours, especially the engis. I wonder why its only affecting us?

Just happened to me today. Will post screens and explanation…

Location: Ascalonian Catacombs path 3.
Character: Engineer
Description: We just finished eradicating the graveling burrows. We had an Elementalist dropping Ice Bows on the ground (cheers for him for making it easier) and I was using it. I also was using my Flamethrower kit. Before we were turned into ghosts I had my Flamethrower kit equipped and I was wielding one of his Ice Bows. Upon turning into ghosts I noticed my healing skill and all of my utility skills were locked.

That is a much better report!
So a possible thing to check is holding bundle while the transformation gets applied. Both Engineer kits and Elementalist conjured weapons count as bundles, same with Warrior banners.

Bundles(or at least the Engineer kits) seem to generally behave badly with transformations. This is easily seen by equipping a kit and putting on a diving goggles.

As a workaround if you run into this bug going back to the character select and then loading back into the dungeon should completely undo the transformation.

Tried it twice. Another character (übermeister, third screen) had skills when entering the dungeon and then when I switched back to my engie the skills were still locked.

Not just an engie bug, happened 3 times in a row to my thief. Tried logging / re-entering, but not at all available to the thief. The skills are available if I join as my mesmer.

Just want to add that magically my utility skills didn’t get locked out (eng), but every other player’s did (3 thieves and a ranger). Made it impossible to defeat the end boss so we just had to leave.

It is still occuring. Last night for our party again. Ranger and Engineer lost skills.
