Guild Wars 2

Whenever AVG antivirus is enabled on my computer the game wont open and i get error 0xc0000005. I’ve tried putting the game in the exceptions for AVG but it still doesn’t work. If i disable AVG the game works fine.
Can anyone help me?

So what should i do?

One easy solution is to use a different AV program, such as Avast. Or whatever one you prefer.

I found AVG caused all sorts of problems, so I stopped using it. A lot of folks like Bitdefender, Avast, or Microsoft Security Essentials (which I believe is included in Win8+).

AVG had been a good one on past but the latest versions have became too heavy and resource intensive, even when simply updating. I could suggest trying another one, like Avira too or at least watch out and see if it’s doing updates or scanning while you are playing, in this case just stop it from doing that and see if it works.
