Account bound tokens earned on my ranger can not be taken from my bank and placed on my thief, although the patch notes state they have been changed.

Wondering if this is a common or local issue.

This is a common issue with many items. The pre and post patch items don’t stack, and the pre-patch items don’t work as intended. Mainly frustrating for me, because I planned ahead when Jon Peters said the dungeon tokens would be account bound and started working on obtaining a piece or two for my alt, and now these tokens can’t be used.

I also worked hard with one character, earning tokens planned for use on my second character once it got to 80. I now have four separate partial stacks of tokens for the same dungeon which cannot be stacked together. The storage issue wouldn’t be so bad if I could at least spend them on the right character, but only the new tokens can be withdrawn from the bank on my new character. The old tokens seem to still be soulbound to my first character, even though the description says “account bound.”

Has anyone from ANet confirmed whether these pre-patch tokens will eventually be made truly account bound, instead of just changing the description text? I’d love to be able to someday use them on my second character (who is now 80 and ready to spend the tokens).

Same for me also – would be nice if it was fixed so everything that says Account Bound really is.

The mods read these forums but I’m not sure support and devs do, so I put in a ticket about this and would hope that more people do too. I have the same story here. I farmed tokens for a second character and can’t withdraw a large number of tokens with that character.

I can imagine that it’s a low priority issue, but at least a message would be nice.

Someone (either Jon or Colin, I think) posted that they’re aware of this and it will be fixed in the next patch which should come out “in less than one week”. Seems a long time to go through the inventory DB and simply replace item “A” (old version) with item “B” (new version), but maybe they coded it in some weird way and can’t just do that.

It’s beyond me how they released the patch without testing this, though, especially since they did edit the description of the old item to say “account bound” (although it’s actually still soulbound).

Works now – I combined 2 kinds of dungeon tokens together from different toons.
