Shadey Dancer says I should open a topic on this issue, less likely a dev would skip my post whitin the Frost Spirit bug report.

Please note that;
Signet of the Wild
Signet of the Hunt
Both does NOT increase your dmg.
They actualy Decrease DMG

Any1 else tested it?
I did multiple times and usualy it kills crit chance, but can’t really spot any of base dmg increase as well.

How are you testing?
On a lv80 down scaled to 30 testing Signet of the Wild on a Forrest Boar just north of LA.

Slash
inactive: 178 average
active: 209 average
17% increase

Slice
inactive: 177
active: 213
19% increase

Power Stab
inactive: 232
active: 286
23% increase

whole chain
inactive: 194
active: 233
20% increase

That was using just the AA chain to kill two separate boars. Traits were all unallocated.

I’ve tested it on NPCs around Tyria, and it decreases my critical hit rate mutch.
I’ll have a look again and share the results.

It does Not increase dmg.
@ Rapid Fire it may only affect the first shot? That’s not “Next Attack”, just a little part of it…

Signet of the Wild works tho.

That is more or less consistent with other “next attack” things like Sigil of Leeching and Rune of Vampirism.

IIRC it was the same with Signet of Might before the recent change. If you hit something with Cyclone Axe it would consume 2 out of the 3 of the unblockable stacks.

“Next Attack”=/=‘next skill’

“Next Attack” means the next time you connect with a direct source of damage. You lose the charges even if it is negated by a block or Aegis.

Also, neither of these has anything to do with critical chance so I don’t understand what you mean by that at all.

Oh, so skills that deal damage every X dmg doesn’t count as a whole “Next Attack”.
Thats quite sad.

Guess we solved this issue.

Yet I suggest to extend the number of Hits applied by the DMG boost or fix tooltip at least ^^

+50% damage along with guaranteed crit (from Precise Strike) for you and pet along with all the other damage modifiers Ranger has +Vulnerability and Might stacks is pretty good if used properly. Adding more strikes to it would be very unbalanced for PvP. Ranger already has pretty excellent burst setups w/o another one.
