Hey I’ve had this twice now since the last patch, all my skills stop responding, even “f” to mine a node.

No, this isnt the famous wvw input lag, I’m able to swap weapons, type in chat, move about freely but nothing on my skillbar activates at all.

The first occurence was in wvw and lasted 20 minutes before i gave up and logged out, the second was in the mad kings labyrinth, both times doing nothing special, nothing I can replicate, no big fights at the time.

Instant cast skills just briefly depress with the mouse click (or keypress) and then return to normal, ground targetting skills get the reticule up, but then just dissappear on the second click (or keypress)

This happened to me a few times in Dungeons on my Guardian. It sucks, and I don’t know what causes it.

Same to me. Happened 3 times, each time on my warrior.
The first time was in CBE, could see people moving fightinf, could move myself, but could not activate any skill. I went well away from any fighting (to starting area) and it still didn’t work. I could also use waypoints, sell, repair… just no skill. Had to restart the game, and thus lose my spot in BCE.

Last two times were in Lunatic Inquisition, happened after like 6-7mns of play. No apparent reason or way to replicate this.

Is there any progress on this?

This is happening right now on my necro, i’m sitting at my borderland wihout beeing able to cast a single spell.

Dont know if it is just coincidence, but after several minutes trying to reset the bug, it finally fixed itself after jumping high enough, to the point where the character eats dirt (didnt kill myself ).

I’m necro’ing this thread. This has happened to me repeatedly over the last couple of weeks. It seems like dying or mapping fixes it. It’s like the number keys just stop responding. The movement works fine, and anything letter-based still works, but anything numeric stops working. I thought it was me, but it has happened to multiple folks in my guild.

The final straw for me was when it happened during the middle of the dredge fractal. I couldn’t attack, heal, or do much of anything other than run in circles. For 15 minutes straight. Mapping is not an option when you are the fractal owner, and my voluntary death did not resolve it last night.

Seriously, is there anything that can be done to resolve this? It didn’t start until a few weeks ago, and has been getting steadily worse. I don’t believe it is lag. Everything letter-based works flawlessly. I have seen it on both my laptop and my desktop.

Hahaha…. I like your term – necro’ing! And this thread needs it.

I’ve had this problem when trying to pick up something off the ground and “miss” picking it up for any reason. If this happens, I lose my ability to use my skills until I die.

This has been happening particularly when trying to pick up my porcine pets’ found objects while playing my ranger. And it’s been going on for about 6 – 8 weeks.

Mapping is not an option when you are the fractal owner, and my voluntary death did not resolve it last night.

I just had this happen to me earlier today, in the Molten (not boss) fractal at the end. All skills stopped working after I was thrown into the cage by a flame tornado. I died in the middle of the room but the rest of my party still saw me in the wall. They finally were able to rez me but even though on my screen I was running around, they only saw me running in place in the corner. I wasn’t completely DCed though since I was still talking with them in party chat.

We all hit the proceed to next fractal box…but even though on my screen all five players had green checkmarks, on their screens I did not have a checkmark. Well, being the one who opened the instance I thought we were screwed. Since there was nothing else to do, however, I quit the game completely (required a force-quit) and came back in…and we were all in the next fractal.

So…this bug looks like it had the side-effect of the server not realizing I had restarted the client, and thus not kicking everyone out even though the instance owner “left” for about 30 seconds.

The same thing has happened to me multiple times while in Fractals and once while doing the Gates of Arah. It also happened to others in the group I was in but not at the same time.

It’s weird when it happens as you cannot activate any skills, you can’t even manually change weapons. But there seems to be a cure….. It goes away after being downed, at least it has for me more than twice so far. The other times I just relogged.

Same thing just happened to me on my guardian. I could not use any skill, except for my utility spells (shouts and signet of judgement). It happened after a zerg fight. I tried waypointing in case it would refresh/fix it, it didn’t. I changed weapons to see if that would fix it, it did not. I entered a golem, strangely I COULD use golem skill#3 (shield) but none of the others, also I couldn’t exit it (skill#5). Relogging fixed.

Back 3 months now, and still no answers found…

Still having the same probs on my Guardian too.
Sometimes a simple waypoint works, other times I have to log out completely.

Take falling damage to solve the bug..
then again, it shouldn’t be in the game.. like most bugs..
Expect a fix in about 2 years..

This happened to me a few days ago in WvW.

Everything worked except my skill bar… i was able to chat, swap weapons, loot corpses… eventually gave up and logged.
