I’ve gotten 100% completion in all areas (yes, I’ve checked, and double checked … and triple checked and completed all 4 WvW areas) , yet it says in the map World Completion that I’m at 300/301 renown hearts(Tasks), 507/507 Waypoints, 712/717 Point of Interest, 202/202 skill challenges & 260/266 Vistas.

So, 1 Task, 5 POI and 6 Vistas are missing, yet all areas are completed. I’ve checked all areas enough times to be sure that I’m not missing anything. Surely this must be a bug.

I’ve had that before, but happened to stumble upon an area that i was in fact missing 1 heart. If I were you i’d spend the extra time checking all zones in PvE.

All dungeons, PS instances?

Dungeons don’t affect the count. Only 1 POI in your Personal Story does and that’s the one at Fort Trinity.

Have you gotten the 1 POI in the Chantry of Secrets? I was stuck at 716/717 for days without knowing that one existed. The Vista and other POI’s may be from one of the Borderlands or the Eternal Battleground. As for the Heart, I have no idea.

I am also a big confused here. I have been stuck at 99% since lauch day.
Completed every jumping puzzle
Every map shows 100% (including WvW) but I’m still somehow missing 1 Poi and 1 Vista (yes I’ve done Chantry a few dozen times).
I have also revisited and explored every single zone to no avail. I cannot find those last 2 things.
Basically I’m asking for help: where might that last Vista and Poi be? I have revisited everyzone pretty much daily for the last 2 weeks looking for them.

Yes, I’ve got the POI in Chantry of Secrets.

EDIT: and, as already stated, all 4 WvW areas as well.

I have a similar issue. I have completed all areas for achievement.

Krytan Explorer 175/175, Completed;
Orr Explorer 60/60, Completed;
Maguuma Explorer 166/166, Completed;
Shiverpeak Explorer 174/174, Completed;
Ascalon Explorer 176/176, Completed.
I have completed all WvW maps.
I have Chantry of Secrets POI.

The World Completion bar reads: 99%.
Hearts: 300/301
Waypoints: 507/507
POI: 718/719
Skills: 202/202
Vistas: 266/266

With all completed, there is still one heart and one poi that didn’t get counted.
I have spent a lot of silver checking the maps more than three times.

I’m very frustrated at this point. If anyone has additional helpful ideas I would check them out.

GW1 cartography was hard, but finding points that the map and achievements say I already have is kinda … impossible unless I go back and do every one of them again. Yikes.

Just because you have found all achievement areas doesn’t mean that you have 100% map completed all zones. I had to port around each map to find the 1 poi I was missing.

Are you verifying your map completion against a known good source such as Guild Wars 2 Wiki?

If not, I highly recommend doing so. It helped me several times in finding a missing heart or undiscovered area.

Don’t forget the cities. It’s easy to miss a PoI in one of them, and you can easily forget about them when you meticulously revisit all the explorable zones.

Forgive me if this sounds in the least bit condescending, but do not leave a map until and unless it says it’s 100% done. That way, there’s not this horrid circumstance later.

My experience is that if you find that last heart, you’ll likely find the last POI, Normar Ramon.

Sal, I’m going to guess you’ve found that last bit a while ago.

There is a new POI in LA by the entrance to the new dungeon, had completed LA a while ago and was looking on the map and notice it a couple of days ago.

Opinions are like ______ everyone has one I could
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens

There needs to be some sort of utility/report that will list what area/maps are not 100% complete. I’ve jumped around some maps and now have a hard time figuring out which maps I’ve completed and which ones are not. Who wants to spend time and silver/gold jumping from map to map to find ones that are not 100% complete?

SOLVED (I must admit I was not as methodical as I thought I was prior to this post)

I started the most recent part of this post and have to agree with morphemass, even though I don’t understand why the explorer achievement would give me a completed value when it was not complete.

I also agree with FalconDance (the heart and poi was in the same map, but not together, I thought the same thing) and Jornophelanthas, that it seems the best method is to meticulously check each map. Thank you for your honest, helpful though humbling (ouch my ego) comments.

I found my two missing pieces, by doing the following. I went to each area from west to east and worked my way throught the zones. (I zoned in to a waypoint that was near a gate so I could get two with one jump when possible) I marked each zone off a list that I printed out to make sure I didn’t miss something, sucked it up and spent the silver, screen capped each cut screen (though I didn’t really need to, it was just to keep me focused) compared that with each of the zone map stats and moved through each area, city, wvw map, chantry of secrets, etc.

I found my two missing parts in Fireheart Rise.

(Please post where you found your final pieces to this puzzle if this post helped you. It would be nice to hear about more successes.)

Conclusion: This will work, but it takes a bit of silver and a little time, while saving the frustration of searching again and again. (Systematic/Methodical) But it did work for me.

I am still disappointed that my explorer achievement stats told me that I had completed the zones when I had not really done so.

Hang in there and you will get this!
Good Luck, fellow explorers!

Explorer achievement (of maguuma, etc.) doesnt count your hearts or POIs, it counts the map parts unrevealed.

You know the “washed out” parts of the map, when you come into a new zone? You move into it and a bit gets revealed, you can now see on the map whats in there.
When you have Maguuma Explorer 166/166, then you have revealed all parts of all maguuma maps.

www.gw2carthographers.com is a nice source, but it’s very outdated atm. Luckily for world completion it has almost everything, although the maps have a few errors like extra POI’s on unreachable locations and a lot of places don’t have a guide, because you can only change things for yourself on your computer through locally stored data.

But generally use gw2carthographers.com (don’t forget the two extra POI’s in LA that arrived with the Lost Shores update), if you can’t find something compare the wiki lists with your maps (although I only found this useful enough to check for the Explorer achievements)

I have the same sort of problem

Krytan Explorer 175/175, Completed;
Orr Explorer 60/60, Completed;
Maguuma Explorer 166/166, Completed;
Shiverpeak Explorer 174/174, Completed;
Ascalon Explorer 176/176, Completed.
I have completed all WvW maps.
I have Chantry of Secrets POI.
I have 100% in every area and have received all the reward chests for this
but my World Completion bar reads: 99%.
Hearts: 301/301
Waypoints: 507/507
POI: 711/719
Skills: 202/202
Vistas: 261/266
there are no more vistas or pois left for me to do… this is very frustrating :/
