Guild Wars 2

I just started the game yesterday. However, I am having an issue with skill challenges. None are displayed on the map, I am unable to start any of the challenges or do any of the communes. I tried on a couple different characters at the low levels in both Queensdale and where the Nords begin. Example- I cant challenge Chhk the Windmill King, he just tells me I’m not a dragon and to come back when I have a tail… Example 2-The commune in Queensdale tells me to come back later as my only chat option. I appreciate any advice.

Skill challenges are locked for new accounts until a character reaches level 13.

Yes, with the New Players Experience system skill challenges are locked on early levels, as well some map completion items in world map. See this for more info http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Level_rewards
