Tarnished Coast
We’re on the ship after defeating the Mouth of Zhaitan, and have been battling the dragons with the cannons perfectly.
We killed Fafnarin the Heartslayer, but every time we damage Horrogos the Soulbreaker, his health resets back to full before his next pass at the airship.
UPDATE: One of our party members had dc’d during the first airship phases. When he dc’d again, the dragon’s hp stopped resetting and we were able to kill him finally.
Weird bug.
Similar bug just ended my previous group. The two dragons showed up for the fight, summoned some mobs, then just flew away. A little while later if we hadn’t killed them then the mobs they summoned would simply vanish. After a bit of waiting they would swoop in again and repeat, healing their health to full each time.
Might be related to another issue we experienced where the destiny’s edge npcs just chilled in the back of the humble; they didn’t even join us for the resetting dragons.
In the end my group just disbanded even though we were almost finished. Felt bad.
Had a simular glitch yesterday that very possibly might be related.
Started attacking one of them (dunno wich one, but he is always on the right side of the ship when you can shoot him). Got 70% off his health off, and he flies away and has his full health back. The second round we got again bout 70% off his health back and it stayed off and we finished him.
No portraits where blacked out, but it might have been that someone was lagging.

Our LFG group encountered this problem as well. We all logged out (to character select) and returned to the instance. Seemed to clear everything up. Unsure of what the cause was.
We had this problem too and finally worked out that you have to leave one of the adds up all the time in order to stay in combat.
Otherwise when the dragons fly off, you go out of combat and they regain health.
Ran into this tonight too, the workaround of leaving an add up did not help at all.
Had dragons vanish while using the cannon (not fly off, just vanish).
I think it has to do with a scripted NPC getting stuck and it eventually resetting the encounter. Destiny’s edge stays in the ship (Caithe came out briefly once) so it may be one of them (they also keep referring to the ship being broken if we talk to them).
I think this is a serious bug.

We were never able to complete our first run so we exited, reformed the team and tried again. This time it was less severe and only had one dragon reset (after killing the other one).
Please fix this anet!
It’s funny, the Tequatl Rising release seems to have introduced a couple of bugs to Arah story.
Namely, this resetting dragons bug, and also a bug where certain AoE indicators don’t appear on the airships (thief cluster bomb/poison cloud on the initial smaller airship, Zhaitan’s final phase poison puddles on the large airship).
Please fix these, ArenaNet!

Tried this mission yesterday and also today. Both times Fafnir and Horrogos kept resetting their health and was no way to get mission done.
The same thing happened to us tonight. Battling the both dragons for about 30 minutes, their health bars kept resetting. NPC stayed in the ship all the time. The group eventually disbanded. This was my first playthrough in Arah. Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed.
Had this same bug today.
We eventually worked out that it wasn’t staying in combat with the adds that stopped the reset. Rather, when the dragons fly to the rear of the airship as part of their circling animation, it seems to take them out of “combat range” with the party and their health resets.
The solution was to have at least one party member follow them to the rear of the airship and back every time they circled. This prevented the reset and let us finish the fight.
This is still a problem.
We went there with a party of 4 today. Got the first dragon down (of the two).
The last one kept resetting.
After that we attempted the “all logout to char select” fix. This resulted in us not being able to WP to the ship. We kept falling through the buttom of the ship.
2 hours wasted, not happy pandas. ArenaNet should atleast disable the instance while it’s not working.
This problem still exists… although I discovered a workaround. If one person just stays on the frontal tip of the airship, the dragons wont reset.
