(IS = Infiltrator’s Strike)
When the Thief uses IS it places a buff on the Thief’s buff bar called “Shadow Return” with a 15s timer allowing the Thief to “Return” to their original location. Once the Thief has returned to the original location (pff, original location my …..) the “Shadow Return” buff disappears AS SHOULD because the Return has been Used.
The bug:
- IS + Dagger Storm into large groups of enemy’s in WvW several times causes the Shadow Return buff to instantly disappear not allowing me to “Shadow Return”
- IS + Steal in WvW several times causes the Shadow Return buff to instantly disappear not allowing me to “Shadow Return”
There are several times when the “Shadow Return” ability is simply gone for no reason at all. But what I have mentioned above while doing IS immediately following those abilities cause the ability to break completely and Shadow Return can not be used.
Here’s the deal AreaNet: you continue to NERF Infiltrator’s Strike while not understanding that SOME players like me (I call it the 1% spec because you have handed out so much to D/D and D/P build thieves so everyone plays those specs) rely on IS ability as a SURVIVAL ability. Since you do not realize how S/P spec works, IS is the ability we use to survive as WE DO NOT rely on Stealth. We don’t have the MASS stealthing capability a D/D and D/P build has. How did you NOT know this?
“Oh, but player, we want you to use Stealth to survival and be unique!” <— if this is what you think, which I am almost positive you do, you are DEAD WRONG. You gave “Cloak and Dagger” to D/D builds and gave D/P builds the ability to Black Powder and hop out and stealth. Really? Do any of the designers of this game use any logical thought to this vs. a PW Thief?
So what do the designers do? Screw the S/P builds more, again and again nerfing the one true ability we have as a survival tool. I DON’T USE STEALTH LIKE D/D AND D/P WHO USE STEALTH ALL DAY —- WE USE TELEPORTING TO SURVIVE, WHAT PART OF THIS DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT YOUR OWN kitten CLASS/BUILD?
PW does not NEED the stealth to survive, obviously because you don’t hand it to use like you have D/D and D/P setups, as you gave us Infiltrators Strike. Is any of this sinking in yet?
So while you designers continue nerfing the ability on an already damage S/P setup, you burn us more by NOT FIXING THE ABILITY TO START WITH.
Ohhh let’s ignore fixing the ability but continue to nerf the ability into the ground while not giving the PW setups the massive amount of stealthing ability the other 2 setups that are commonly used. Instead let us kill the surviving ability of a PW setup (which you could have blessed us with by not touching it in the first place like you blessed the D/D and D/P setups with mass stealth). Yes this makes perfect, complete total sense.
It is quite apparent the designers, developers and owners of this company/game do NOT frequently play S/P builds often enough. If they did, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
Why couldn’t the designers of this game done this: leave IS the same for PW Thieves but change it for the D/D and D/P Thieves? I would have been happy here without the ability to BP Stealth or C&D stealth. I don’t have those options. Or did you forget to give us those options? Who knows, but you have boned those of us who have enjoyed the S/P build for a long time. Even when you nerfed the Damage on Pistol Whip long ago — I AGREE’D IT NEEDED NERFED AND DIDN’T EVEN COMPLAIN! But now? You guys have lost your minds.
This is pathetic. Ohh boy, here comes an infraction because THEY don’t want to hear the flippin’ truth. Whatever.
