Cant you do anything to solve this long ongoing glitch/exploit/bug whatever you deem to call. Clearly you cant target the backline as far as these ppl did in the video.

This definitely needs an acknowledgment that ANET is aware of this and agree it’s not ‘working as intended’ and will do something to fix this.

It is a completely open gateway for the less morally inclined people to abuse the hell out of this.

According to a dev post you agreed to not use any program that gives you any upper hand or advantages in gw2. Also he said it led to a permaban.

I can’t confirm this since it seems not to be in the terms of agreements which is actually very strange.

Edit; i really hope that commander and anyone who uses that zoom hack gets permanently banned.

If they don’t get banned for this exploit then I’ve lost confidence in Anet.

I just love how there are threads like this, actually stating serious issues with the game. Then I look at the other list of bug reports, and I see the dev responses. One about ranger armor skins, and another about the PvE experience for an event. That is just funny. This has been a problem for longer than the dragonbash has been in development probably, and they still have not even acknowledged that it is a problem. PvP really means nothing to Anet, based on the number of fixes and problems with it.

Dev just said Eyeinfinite is ok to use. But he didnt talk about Arrowcart zoomhack using eyeinfinite or any other programs.

I havent get eyefinite myself so i dont really sure if it’s possible just using eyeinfinite alone or the hacker need another zoomout program…

At least we need Anet attention here. It’s been used by several guilds in one particular server lately and nonstop. We need to have Anet stance on this arrowcart kitten.

Thank you for recording this. I can’t run a video capture program, and everytime I try to screen shot SoR doing this it’s too late and they’ve left the arrow cart. Something must be done about it soon, because a lot of wvw players are sick of this kind of exploit, and have started leaving the game for good.

You mean AMD’s Eyefinity?

It’s not really anymore of an advantage than having a very large monitor.

Other things though that may in and of themselves be harmless, can and have actually resulted in bans (example: sweetfx. I am left to assume it works in a similar fashion to how some other applications that do give an unfair advantage. No this is not an invitation to come here and argue whether it is bannable or not. I have a guildee that was indeed banned for ‘modifying the client’ and all he was using was sweetfx. They did reverse it but with warning to not do so again. Just because many use it without incident doesn’t make it ‘safe’ and that isn’t the point here anyways.)

They do not post to every thread, and to expect them to takes away from time that could better be served by, you know, actually testing, finding, and fixing bugs. Let them come here and post when they are in between, or don’t have time to find bugs but can come here and do something useful, like logging new information. But expecting them to post to everything is both unrealistic and unfair.

SoR is still doing this. This is GAME BREAKING and needs to be looked at. Why hasn’t Anet responded to this? You want to loose your legitimate player base? Keep letting exploits like this go unfixed and you will.

Unlikely ANET will respond to this or the countless other threads about it since it became so widespread… in doing so it acknowledges there is a problem and many more players will see it and go use it.
Nice video btw, shame on RoS for it, especially from that commander and I too hope ANET is doing something behind this to get it sorted and punish those who use it with perma bans… but I wont hold my breath… cos it doesn’t directly affect gem sales and that’s really all they care about.

It’s a good thing it doesn’t have to potential to turn any siege at all, ever, in full advantage to the person exploi…I mean USING it.
