Ascalonian Catacombs Invulnerable Spiders
Having the same problem now in the Ascalonian Catacombs entrance with all the tombs you have to open one by one to open the door. Out pops an invulnerable monk. She becomes vulnerable for literally 0.000000000001 of a second at which point she blasts this white light which knocks you over, then she becomes invulnerable again regardless of any stun/boons to conditions spells you use on her.
Seeing if logging out then going back in helps.
Only advice I got was “Game is bugged. Start a new character.”
HA! Get back up to lvl 30? no thanks.
Logged completely out then went back in seemed to fix the problem….for about 10 minutes. Defeat the door guy then went to the next section. Again another monk pops out of the ground and no matter how much damage we lay upon her, her health didn’t decrease one bit, and this time there was no “Invulnerable” sign.
This catacomb has a glitch of Invulnerable monks. Please fix.
Logging out resets the catacomb so we have to combat everything again and again each time we come across a glitched enemy and have to log out.
Not fun, not worth it, but this is for the story mode. How can we complete it now that the catacomb is broken?

ascalonian monk is melee mob, hence if monk knocks you onto the coffins and cannot reach you, then it becomes invulnerable. when you go back to melee monk, after couple seconds it returns to normal
same answer goes for spiderlings thingy from that post 10 months ago. spiderlings are actually melee mob, with one ranged spell on long cooldown. once they shoot ranged spell they run towards the target, obviously if player(s) were shooting from the wall, then spiderlings couldn’t reach them
… no matter how much damage we lay …health didn’t decrease one bit…was no “Invulnerable” sign…
the only instance when mobs get huge regeneration is when their leash mechanic activates
if you were pulling monk very far away, then its normal that it returned to spawn location and regenerated. it loses that leash induced regeneration after some time

Ah. The stuck enemy makes sense as the monk was stuck behind the coffins.
Though the 2nd instance, through another try of the dungeon, I found out is due to one of the monks spells, where she shoots this white thing from player to player then when it gets back to her, her health is regen’d.
I can understand that as a spell (being a necro that siphones life) but the monk uses this as a normal attack, has a stupidly long range, heals for a lot and is hard to avoid.
I’m doing this dungeon with one other person, we’re both lvl 40, but it seems the only way to do it is with 5 people? That’s the only way I can think of lowering the monks health quick enough to make the regen null and void.
Just had to fight a monk. got it down to half hp and then it instant regened back to full hp without using a spell. It was in its spawn spot and it wasn’t invulnerable. also if this is some regen stat or hidden spell of the monk it needs changing because doing it in story mode is impossible because there are not 5 people to do it with the most i can get is 2 or 3 and with the invincible monk i makes it impossible even at lvl 40. please look into this or i wont be able to finish this dungeon.
dungeons are supposed to be done with 5 players. if you don’t have enough friends, then that’s what LFG tool is for
monk is annoying to solo even with 80lvl offence orientated warrior, because of monk’s heal and interrupts
with 5 players monks melt easily – assuming those 5 know what they are doing
P.S. you probably don’t complain if you cannot kill some group even champ, why would you complain you fail to do 5 player dungeon with just 2-3 players? :o
