Asuran Weapons in The Grove
Meanwhile, the Asura tier 2 cultural weapon vendor in Rata Sum sells the Sylvari tier 3 set (carrion something). So both the Asura and the Sylvari are missing one of their sets.
Yeah, so…why do people keep putting an “n” at the end of Asura? I see that far too often and it’s starting to irk me. Is that really the canonical way to pluralize asura?
Seems the n suffix is a foreshortening of “of Asura”
Similar to American, European, and Russian.
Ok draeth, but Asura is a race not a way to define someone from a geographical location/area.
Ok draeth, but Asura is a race not a nationality.
What’s your point? We’re all human. Note the -n suffix as well. That suffix is one of the ways we indicate inclusion in English. English came about long before the idea of other sentient species
Also, it’s draeath, not draeth
You act as if a -n suffix is universal. I asked if it’s canonical because if it’s not people should stop doing it.
You don’t hear Sylvarian or Charrian, so why Asuran?

Because English is strange and inconsistent, and certain endings don’t “need” the suffix?
I’m no English major. I’m just saying that it sounds correct.
If it’s not canonical it shouldn’t be said, I haven’t heard pronounced like that in game ever.
The official wiki uses it:

“which asuran college they studied at”
“The asuran home instance…”

Yea, well, they also don’t capitalize the proper noun as they should, so we can’t really rely on that page for stylistic cannon.
I prefer Asuranian
I don’t think it needs to be capitalized. We wouldn’t capitalize “human,” after all. The problem lies in thinking that we are dealing with a race or ethnicity, but asura, sylvari, norn, etc. are species, just as are humans. As such, “asura” is not a proper noun, and the ArenaNet technical writers are right not to capitalize it.
Since “asura” is a made up word, it’s up to the technical writers to decide how to denote the possessive form, and “asuran” seems authentic. Something like “nornan” or “silvarian” would seem more odd, since they don’t end with the letter “a.”
Wait guys! Chill out. What’s with the problem about the “asura+n” cannon? We are here to make these vendors work. Help me out here guys, C’mon.

Please provide a sample screenshot so what we can help them better.
