At The End Of My Tether (Fixed)
Depending on what particular shade of white you’ve used, have you tried experimenting with the various options of ‘Shaders’ and ‘Post Processing’?
I have a character at the moment who is a Mesmer with white armor and white hair.
It seems that GW2 does not like me to have this colour, my armor and hair are either bright yellow or look as though I am in the shade, despite being in sunlight etc.
The game offers dynamic color adjustment: how things look depends on lighting sources (including with it’s generated or reflected). Colors are, as you know, affected by the material they are used on, by contrasts, etc.
In short, expect that colors will vary and aim for the ones that work best in a variety of situations.
For what it’s worth, my necro is decked out all in white and 99% of the time, it shows as white. Without the additional details for your character, I find it hard to speculate as to why our experiences are different.
I have tried my login on various computers so I know it is not me that has the problem.
That’s very helpful in troubleshooting. I was fairly sure you aren’t imagining things; it’s good to confirm it.
Submitted numerous bug reports within the game but they seem to be getting ignored.
Bug reports in game are not service requests. If you want an individualized response, you need to create an individual support ticket:

Seems the support for GW2 is not as good as the game, shame really.
First, support is really good for stuff that a Customer Service team is equipped to handle — fixing mistakes, helping people troubleshot. Second, it takes longer to address bugs or enhancement suggestions, especially when there aren’t very many details offered, as in this post (what armor? what colors? what race and hair style|color? etc)
Finally, keep in mind that other people are happy or satisfied with the dye system, so even if there’s an issue, it might not be as high a priority as you would like to see.
Any ideas?
Post a request for ideas in the “Players helping players” forum and include:
- Armor set
- Dyes used
- Race and hair/skin color(s) used.
- Screenshots showing us what you mean.
I know it is something wrong with my character animation within game as others see me as bright yellow and others white.

Are you sure you don’t have one of those ghostly infusions that gives you +12 of each stat?

You have hit the nail on the head, I removed said runes and my original colour returned.
Silly really and not sure why it does it but you have fixed my problem.

Yeah, I don’t use them myself but I know others have been confused with them before. A shame there isn’t an option to toggle on/off the effects of those.
Glad you got it sorted though.
Thank you.
