Auto-attack malfunctioning at long range
Bump. Problem still exists, just like before. Hoping to get a solution for this.
Auto-attacking by mashing the “1” button is a bit frustrating.
It might also be a bug with the range finder.
I’ve only really paid attention to this on my thief. When trying to use Heartseeker from max range as indicated by the range indicator under the skill it will always fall slightly short of the target.
For me the problem is kinda the opposite, since the game doesn’t recognise the enemy is in range if I’m close to the maximum range. Problem becomes even more apparent when using a Longbow on my Ranger with increased range. I shoot with Long Range Shot, I hit the target for 220 damage. Auto-attack doesn’t activate. I walk closer, I shoot, I hit the target for 200 damage. Auto-attack is still sipping coffee. I walk a bit closer again and now when I shoot for 180 damage, Auto-attack starts shooting. If I walk backwards, the auto-attacking stops again.
Do note that the enemy actually was in range of my shots the whole time and every one of them hit.
The irony, the irony … rangers complain that they can shoot in 1700 range but their autoattack only works in 1500 range. Melee weapon reaches 330 while autoattack says it’s only reliable at 300.
I’d also like to fix this problem. Make all projectiles disappear at max range. Like Mesmer’s.
