I couldn’t figure out how to get to the final Vista I needed in Bitterfrost Frontier, so I checked a video guide which showed this segment: http://i.imgur.com/a4Z4NGM.png

Here’s a screenshot of me at that same segment: http://i.imgur.com/7KzbEgB.jpg

Seems like the stones are there, but invisible. I tried getting into a different instance, relogging, restarting, to see if it would right itself, but it seems like it hasn’t.

Among the possibilities:

  • You gw2.dat file has been corrupted. Repairing it will fix that (as well as other graphical glitches). (Follow the links to support and ask a question, typing in “repair.”)
  • There’s a minor issue with your graphic settings, via the game, windows, or your GPU’s custom software. That can be annoying to troubleshoot. The easiest way to start is to change a few of the settings to see if that helps.
  • There’s a major bug with the display settings for these objects. That’s the least likely (for a variety of reasons) and the easiest to test: all it takes is asking someone else to look. If they see the same (or rather, if they fail to see the same), then that’s pretty good evidence.

Let us know what you find out.

I was with a group and we were all failing to see it. I logged off for a few hours and when I came back, I could see them. So I guess it resolved itself?

I’m guessing it was a client-server lag problem — the game just didn’t generate the stepping stones for some reason.

Glad it resolved on its own.
