Today I sold 250 ectos (and of course paid the listing fee). They were sold at 36s 80c, which should have rendered ~92g…. however when I went to collect the gold there was only ~82g available.

There are no outstanding ectos to be sold, no gold was collected from the trading post in the meantime, so my question is, where exactly did the other 10g go? O.o

When you sell items on the BLTP, you pay 15% of the total. 5% is paid as the listing fee, and 10% is cut from the profit when the item sells.

While it sucks, it also serves as the largest gold sink in the game to combat inflation. It is unlikely that Anet will ever implement secure player-to-player trading because of this function, as secure trading would allow players to circumvent the tax.

TL;DR: This isn’t a bug, it’s by design.

lmao, guess I never noticed the final cut… should all be listed as a single unified listing fee.

J Season, people have complained about that since launch… Seems the math is to hard for them to implement, or they enjoy the extra off the top they don’t advertise to the players…
