I can attune a ring only if it was unused or had no infusions before. The one I stripped with the tool are not showing in Mystic Forge.
Is this a bug or is it intentional?

After some experimenting myself I am fairly certain any ring that was acquired back when they dropped with the infusion already in the slot, will not work in the forge.

I’m fairly sure I infused my rings myself and still can’t attune them, they just don’t show up in the mf. I used extraction device on one. Didn’t use anything on the other but it was with 2 infusion.

Then I went to the bank and picked up two rings one infused the other not. Rings i never used or gave infusions to.

Both of them showed up in mf recipe…. So that seems to confirm that we can’t attune any rings we used before. What we need to know is: was it intended or a bug?

I’m also having this problem — I’m not sure whether or not my rings were pre-infused, but I know I got them a long time ago, probably close to the beginning of fractals. Would be a shame if I had to buy and ascend new rings just to get access to these new infusion slots….

Are you all sure you are not trying to attune the old magic find rings that turned into select a stat rings? Which exact rings are you trying to infuse?

I’m having the same issue. Rings I acquired before the Attunement patch won’t attune.

All I want to know from ANet is whether or not this is intended, so I know whether or not it will be fixed someday or if I have to grind out new rings.

I sent in a ticket about this a couple of days ago and was told that its a bug and that they are looking in to it. Hopefully its fixed soon

Been 2 weeks now and not a single word from a dev on forums…

Not to pester, but it would be nice to hear something from ArenaNet about this – whether or not they intend to do anything. Replacing rings is pretty grindy.

Yup, still bugged. Would be great to hear from the devs when is the fix possibly coming.
