I remember it was patched before. But I couldn’t find when.

Now the SMC wall is hittable again, thus making C&D able to stealth thief indefinitely.

They actually never removed this, what was removed was the ability to stack stealth off of walls while in stealth.

As to why this was never removed… we will likely never know.
