BUG: Healing Seed + Take Root
I believe the game is coded to only allow a player to control 5 turrets at once. Since Healing Seed counts as a turret, it would be affected by the number of seed turrets you’re currently controlling. An easy way to test this, would be to first use Take Root, then use Seed Turret. If no turret spawns, then I was correct.
Edit: I just tested this myself. When I used Seed Turret after using Take Root, no turret spawned. It seems only 5 turrets are allowed at any given time, and attempting to create a new turret will not replace an old one.
Double Edit: I just tried using Healing Seed after using Seed Turret. Despite the fact that I only had one active turret, the Healing Seed still did not spawn. It looks bugged to me.

This bug has been around since beta.
Healing Seed and Seed Turret don’t play well together at all. Occassionally both will spawn (usually if you spawn Healing first) but most of the time its one or the other. Definately seems bugged and not by design, but who knows.
Healing Seed kind of sucks anyway. Enemies seem to want to slaughter it right away every time I use it, so I haven’t used it in quite a while because of that.
Ever since the agro changes post bwe3 healing seed has been off my bar. The thing used to be pretty nice in dungeons but now mobs just make a beeline for it.
