BUG: Mesmer Sword skill #4 (first off-hand skill), Illusionary Riposte, does NOT get a reduced cooldown from Illusionists Celerity (the 25 trait-point/adept effect in Illusions trait tree), even though Illusionary Riposte is marked as a clone skill.
Programming bug/reason, making an educated guess: Sword #4 is a 2-part skill. It’s overall marked as a clone skill, so should benefit from the trait. But the 2nd part of the skill, which starts the cooldown, is not marked as a clone skill by itself. As such, a coding glitch/bug makes the skill not benefit from being a clone skill after all?
PS: This has been reported before (not be me), but the newest report I found when I did a search was back in 2012, so I feel its warranted to report it again.
Bumping, as this is still bugged. 6 months since I last reported it. It’s been bugged since release afaik.
Just to clarify – an example so you can test it yourselves:
1) Go 25+ deep in Illusions traitline.
2) Try the first sword off-hand ability (#4). Mouseover cooldown displays “12” (correct). Actual cooldown on use turns out to be 15 (should have been 12) seconds.
NOTE: If one also picks up “Blade Traning” in “Dueling” traitline, displayed cooldown is still “12” (should have been 9), actual cooldown is 12 (should have been 9) seconds.
