I’m trying to complete the mission meeting the asura. I’m able to get up to the point where I have to knock out the krewe guard. The option shows up to press F to knock him out, but every time I click it it does nothing. I’ve tried exiting out to redo the mission a few times, then I tried logging out, playing with a different character, and then go back to the mission, and I’ve tried restarting my computer, all to no avail. If anyone could help me or tell me how to fix it, that would be awesome, thanks

“Meeting the Asura” – achievement mote does not show up

Might be something new with this patch, blocking progress on achievements.

I’m having the exact same problem, must be a bug. I’ll report it in the bug section, might have a better chance of being fixed there.

If you mean that the blue little flame dosent show up, i have the same problem

yep, same issue

I also think the camera patch changed something permanently with this challenge mote for many people. Here’s another thread on the issue

I was just doing the achievements and noticed the same thing. Glad to know that I’m not the only one that has this problem. Will submit a bug report in a bit

Looks like the bug fixes didn’t include the challenge motes

I’m waiting for this to be fixed as well, really annoying. I tried entering several times on many different characters and it does not spawn.

I’d seriously pay someone who has a working one to finish this achivement

I wouldn’t have asked for payment, but I just checked on an alt that has completed the achieves and there’s no mote. Sorry

Seems they pulled 90% of their staff to work on the expansion. Leaving nobody around to fix things like this

Still not fixed, seriously ANet? This is blocking my progress to my main goal at the moment, Bioluminescence.

Can anyone confirm that this has been fixed, as since the last patch the challenge mote has appeared every time I enter the instance? Takes a few seconds for the mote to appear once Marjorie has completed her first walk to the steps.

Its fixed. Myself and a couple friends were able to finish it yesterday. The mote took a couple seconds to show up on my friends run. but that is about it

Add to that the first Krewe Guard being completely unresponsive and Knock Out not working, preventing progress…

Hello I am stuck at the place where Faolain tells Caith to subdue the gate guard, no matter how hard i spam and smash my “f” key, caith just cant kill the guard. I’ve completed LS2 on my ranger before and there were no problems. But my necro just cant kill the guard, ive logged in multiple times and i still cant do a thing.

I am having the same problem.

After the first two enemies are dead and Caithe goes into stealth there is a krewe guard. I go behind him and press F to knockout and nothing happens. No yellow fill up bar, my skillbar lights up for a few seconds but that is it. I have restarted several times and this is still happening.

I have experienced the same problem. When Faolain first instructs Caithe to knockout the guard and I am given the option to interact, though I sit jamming away at the “f” key, nothing occurs.

That is to say, the interaction does not occur. In fact, Caithe readies her weapons, and my skills lock out as though I were engaged in combat, but the channel for the knockout never happens.

If necessary, I would be willing to attempt to capture footage of the bug in question. Thanks for your time and trouble!

I have the guard bug, I’ve tried multiple times to get him to activate, but he won’t.

I’m getting the exact same problem. You hit f behind the guard, it enters combat, you draw your weapons, then combat mode just fades out.

It happened to me as well.
For the record, I didn’t have an issue with this yesterday (24hrs ago)
I logged on today, did an update and this problem came up.

I had the same thing happen to me tonight, it seems like half the time personal stories are bugged. I hope they fix it soon. I purchased Living Season as an add on to get the mastery points that are gated behind it, and not being able to get it done is frustrating to me.

They haven’t even added this to the bug-tracker yet, it needs to be solved the LS can’t be completed by anyone.

i am also having the same problem with not being able to knock out the krewe gaurd

I too am having this problem… Cannot complete story (so therefore cannot get last two MP’s for this story line [BS])…

When it tells me to knock out the guard, I cant. The game does not react to the “interact” prompt, he just stands around and I press F until my keyboard is broken. I cant attack it because every other skill except escape forward&backward are also locked so I cant attack the guard with regular attacks either…

(btw. seriously? Its the second quest I play from the LS and its so bugged it wont even let me progress like intended? wow. Thats almost bethesda level.)

Tried to restart the episode, didnt solve. tried to suicide.. didnt solve it. Restarted the instance.. didnt solve it,

I just want my darn pants..

asked a friend to try it and he couldnt interact.. I hope they fix this asap

Me too. This issue seems to be pretty common.

I get the same “Can’t Knock Out The Guard Using F Key” error as well.
