I know there’s a few threads regarding this already, but as I haven’t spotted it on the Bug Tracker, I figure it’s important to raise awareness of this.

Unable to interact (knock out – F) with the Krewe Guard at the start of “Meeting the Asura” I’ve tried interacting with the guard but all it seems to do is trigger a combat state whilst locking out any skills. I’ve filed a bug report in game.

I’m a returning player that stopped playing just before the start of LWS2, so I’ve been catching up with it all this past week. I’ve murdered my way across Tyria and focused on the story content and I’m reluctant to skip to episode 8 or start any HoT content purely because I’m enjoying the story which by proxy is locking me out of any Mastery content and general progression(gliders look really fun!).

I think this might be related to the issues in this forum relating to EP 8 “The Mystery Cave”(?), it sounds like a similar issue however I’ve only glanced at them as I’m attempting to avoid story-based spoilers.

I don’t know what I’m expecting for writing this post but yeah, just hoping it will catch someone at ANet’s eye or something, I don’t really know what to do in-game now that I can’t do what I wanted.

+1 here, filed a report on the mystery cave and went back to see if the meet the Asura was broken for me aswell. It was.

Yep, same issue. I cant complete this one or last story chapter where i supposed to interact with cave

I found it to be not working too.

I am having the same issue and I am unable to progress through the questline. I ran across this on 3/8/16. After the 3/9/16 patch I thought I would try it to see if it was fixed… no luck.

Yeah i can confirm, latest patch doesn’t fix the LS.

Same thing happens to me. I’ve drudged through solutions yesterday and tried again today. The health/action bar flares up as if an attack is happening when I press the “F” key but then it goes away with no action. Sometimes movement is locked too unless I dash or jump. I hope this gets addressed since it’s pretty frustrating :\

I know there are other posts about this, but I wanted to add my voice in hopes that the issues will get fixed soon.

I’m playing through the LWS2 episode “Meeting the Asura” and I cannot get past the guard. Everything up to that point is fine, but when I’m told to knock the guard out the game won’t respond. I’ve tried resetting, logging out, and restarting my comp, but nothing works.

I hope this gets fixed soon.

Exactly why I was doing LWS2, and now we can’t get these last TWO points thanks to this glitch >.<

Second off, have you tried since the last ‘patch’ today? I have not tried since whatever the time stamp says from my first post in the other thread about this. I may try again soon since there was a small ‘patch’ today (yesterday now?)… My ‘guess’ is that no, it’s not yet fixed, but it would be nice – really want those last 2 MP’s from completing that story…!

Plan on trying again soon because I know there was a (small) ‘patch’ sometime today (yesterday now?)… Doubt it was fixed yet, but one can hope =\

Having the same problem. Interact button doesn’t seem to be working at all on that guard.

After restarting the instance with that part of the story maybe 5 or 6 times and having no luck, I skipped to the next episode, Point of No Return, and now I have the exact same issue with the Mystery Cave part of the story. I have the torch of the divine flame equipped, press interact on the Mysterious Wall to get it to open and nothing happens.

I’ve started playing this game less than a week ago and this is my first time doing these quests. Obviously, I can’t finish them and I don’t want to venture into the HoT content without knowing what happened prior to it.

P.S. I was doing these quests after the small patch that was released today.

I have exactly the same problem.

Meeting the Asura is bugged Proventing Seeds of Truth from being completed.
Unable to subdue guard even in right spot.
Even people who have completed it before now cannot do it.

I have the same problem. restarting the instance doesn’t work and neither does doing some other part of the story and then coming back to Meeting The Asura.

I’m having this very same issue, on my hunter. And also my husband is having it as well, on his necro too.

PS I sent a bug report in game along with a copy to this page on the forum Hopefully they will fix it soon… crossing fingers

I was just attempting to do the Mastery Achievement for this story chapter and noticed the following:

Since the last patch, you can no longer knock out the first Asuran guard in order to enter the facility. It says “Press […] to knock out”, but pressing that button does nothing.

I tried with a friend, he couldn’t trigger it, either. It just doesn’t work anymore.

Please fix! Thanks.

I have the same bug, the guard cannot be knocked out,story cannot continue.

Same here. Can’t move forward this story.

Unable to Knock out lab guard per instructions: Subdue the lab Guard. Have tried: In a Party, Solo, Logging out to Character Screen then Log Back in and Restart the Part of the Story. Please Help! It’s blocking progress.

I would like to point out that i also encountered this bug, reported it left that story bit and hoped on the next only to find out that “THE MYSTERY CAVE” has a very similar bug, you CANT INTERACT WITH THE WALL. ihatemylife;_;

same issue and the mystery cave one as well ;_;

i even went as far as asking a friend to join me to see if we could kill the azura as he spawned with aoes and stuff, well he died but i still had to back stab his non existent persona .-.

This quest bugged ? to guard knock out not possible…… chatie dont do nothing.

Yes. But you can still complete the instance by killing everything. If you want the achievements you’re out of luck.

And just to make matters worse on the very last instance of the last LS2 story you cannot interact with the wall while holding the torch making that one completely impossible to complete. Hope this helped and saves you some time.
