In there now. Still can’t subdue the guard.

So I am trying to work on this story but I have encountered a bug that wont allow me to proceed. After I watch the short when Faolain and Caithe are talking about saving their “sprouts” I battle the two guards. After that it puts me in stealth mode and asks me to knock out the guard, but when I try to nothing happens. The yellow aura appears that lets me know I am in battle mode but nothing happens. I have reported the issue but it hasn’t been fixed. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it in fact a bug?

Stuck as well. Think I’m going to roll a new toon in Pre-Searing and try to remember why I fell in love with this universe ‘cause lord knows I’m starting to wonder what the hell I was thinking way back when…

I’m having the exact same problem as everyone else as well. The option to subdue the guard pops up, but nothing happens.

Just tried it, didn’t work, wanted to complain but found this thread instead. Glad to see it’s not just me.

Here’s to hoping it will get fixed asap…

And just to make matters worse on the very last instance of the last LS2 story you cannot interact with the wall while holding the torch making that one completely impossible to complete. Hope this helped and saves you some time.

I’ve just tried both of theese missions and im having the same issue.
would anyone know why they arent fixed yet? since LS2 have been out for quite some time now.

I cant finish either? Is there a fix in the works?? Really frustrating!

yeah just got to this point today and was bum out because I cannot resume the story. so I guess +1 and I filled out a bug report in game hopefully it’ll be fix soon.

OK so I sent in a bug report in game but thought i would post this here as well since it blocks access to completing the Seeds of Truth. When you get to the first guard it says hit F to knock him out but nothing happens. Meaning you can’t get past the first door because you can’t knock him out and there is no way to break stealth. This is fairly new and I did this story 2 or 3 weeks ago on another character.

I am experiencing this exact bug at the moment and have also completed this on other characters.

Same. This is really quite irritating. Anet, please acknowledge this.

Why is this so difficult to fix? The mission is isolated anyway, so it would take a techie one slow afternoon to sort this…

So I’m going through LS2 again to get the achievements, mastery points and sinister trinkets now and I’ve hit a show stopper.

In the Meet the Asura chapter in Seeds of Truth (which I did once before!) near the beginning there is a point where you sneak up on the Asuran near the entry to the lab to knock him out from behind after disposing with the two Asurans with Faolin.

When you do that you get a UI element that pops open “Knock Out [F]”. I can’t get it to activate! I’ve spammed F and clicked on it many times. Nothing. I’ve tried starting the episode from scratch. Restarting. Rebuilding the data file. Etc.

Any ideas???

It is still bugged. Tried it out today and I couldn’t progress either. Please fix this, because I paid for this matter.

It’s a known issue. The same happens with the mysterious wall and some other objects in LS2. We’ll have to wait for a fix…

It sounds like it’s bugged. :/ Maybe do it with somebody else and have them be the instance owner? I’m trying to get the achievements and mastery points in that episode too. You’re welcome to contact me in game and we could attempt it together.

I am having the exact same problem as everyone else on this thread. I hope that they hurry and fix this bug, I would very much like to finish this story line!

I am having the same issue… so anoying! Wanted to finish the living story before i do the expansion story but looks like thats not going to happen

Same issue, and like I just said in another thread there is a similair problem with ‘The Mystery Cave’ (Point of No Return) where you can’t interact (with a wall this time).

Now I can’t get either of the sinister trinkets

I cant complete the quest either… like the others before me its blocking my way forward in the LS.

A lot of people seem to be having the same problem. I think you are supposed to post in one of those threads now instead of making new threads?

Subdue the guard is still bugged. There’s NO way to complete it. Please consider it to fix.. Because we all want to progress.

Is there anyone who’s progressing this story?
If i tried doing it a dozen times would it work once or twice?

I get to the part where it tells you to go behind the guard and knock him out -altho i did so but when you go to click on knock out it wont …and as i have logged out and back in several times to see if that the issue ..it still doesn’t do nothing when getting that part …there must clearly be a bug

Same problem. Bought only this episode, today, to get the rewards. Very disappointing that it’s been bugged for 5 days and no response yet. Wish refunds were possible… :/

Ja, this is true. I report 5 days ago this bug, but nothinh happened. Meeting the Asura simply don’t work. And ArenaNet does not care about it. Same.

Encountered the same problem last night – think it’s a known issue; hope they fix it sooner rather than later!
