Yes! This has happened to me too. I have never done this part of the mission, and now I cant progress. I Decided to move on to the last chapter, but when I tried to open the cave, in the beginning, it would do the same thing; just like the guard.

Same problem here. Still broken.

I recently attempted to complete the LS2 mission “Meeting the Asura”. I planted the memory seed and when it comes time to knockout the first guard it does not allow me to. It prompts me to hit F but nothing happens. I’ve tried re-entering the instance and I’ve had friends come in the instance to make sure it wasn’t something on my end. I filed a bug report but I’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

I’ve encountered the same issue.

I understand this happens when a update comes out, please fix it soon…. : (

it shows as “Knock out [F]” and when i hit F or hold F, nothing happens.

after 3 hours of trying with several characters … finally i found this article. Have the same problem (like all players atm i think) – fix it please , and fast. Need the completion of the Story and the two Points.

I have the same problem. and i too have filed a bugg report.
i have been trying to complete it every day since 13 march without any luck.

Okay, now this is making me VERY angry. I need ONE more MP (from tyria) to unlock the last thing I have ready and trained, and this kitten bug is HOLDING ME UP. Now any tyria EXP I earn is a WASTE because I can’t train the last section of this ‘track’ until I get ONE MORE STINKING MP.

A shame that the issue was reported a week ago and is still not fixed…

Having this problem too. Pretty serious issue with premium content and still no indication that they are working on a fix. Suprising that a bug in an isolated quest can be so hard to deal with.

Yep, got the same problem! I need it for mastery insight point and my friend really want it for luminecent armor reward thing…. Need to be fixed!

Yeah, but since its a serious bug that doesn’t let you progress through the story, one would hope that they are giving priority to resolving it quickly and not wait for the next normal patch or even longer.

They’re not giving it ANY attention, we haven’t even gotten so much as an acknowledgement in this very thread!

This happened to me as well just now! Worst part is, as I have completed LS before, I just decided to jump to the next section of the journal, but I can’t even finish the Mystery Cave story step because it’s a similar bug there where I cannot interact with the wall with the divine torch.

Having the same issue. Hitting F does nothing and I cannot complete the story now. Please fix this soon.

I’m having this issue too. It’s super frustrating. At first I thought that maybe it was lag, but nope. Even when I’m not laggy I can’t do anything.

Seeds of Truth – Meeting the Asura

I am unable to knockout the first guard at the top of the steps after the first fight. I have tried positioning myself in different locations around the guard, but I am unable to perform the “knockout” as indicated in the pop-up when I am in range of the guard. I have tried this several times over the past few days without success. I have completed the Seeds of Truth storyline on six other characters, with the most recent about two weeks ago. My Necromancer is the one having a problem.

Listed “investigating” doesn’t mean someone is on it. The mission is instanced, and the entire thing is pretty straight forward to script.

You can’t have pay-walled content if the same isn’t working at all… >:(

I, as well, am having the same problem. I am quite miffed as I want to get my Mistward gear unlocked yet have never completed LW2 before. Not pleased I am going to have to skip story content, even if temporary, because of how long it is taking to address this issue.

Same problem here. I just bought all of the Living Story 2 with gems to complete all storylines… stuck now and can’t complete Episode 7 because of this bug. :-\

Not working here either. This and the bug in #8 prevent progression in the living world quest line making the last two inaccessible. How is this still broken?

Can confirm as well. Just tried helping a friend out and he cannot complete the story step.

This is awful, him and his GF paid for all LS episodes and they cant play them properly for a few days now.

My girlfriend and I are also stuck with this problem.
We submitted a bug report about a week ago.
We submitted another bug report just now.
Any possibility we could all get some kind of update on a fix for this?

the torch of the divine flame doesn’t open the cave door

I’m having exacly the same problem.
I bought the living world because i needed the masteries to get Tyria done. I’m now failing for 1 mastery and i can’t progress because of this silly bug.

I’ve attempted to jump over to the Mystery Cave in order to get my mastery. Also bugged, when using the fire on the wall it just won’t do a thing….

An Answer from Anet would be awesome….

I am having the same problem! have tried reseting and restarting the story sever times always bugs out same spot.

I’ve had the same problem, it was especially annoying after being asked to pay 200 gems for the complete story and now I can’t progress again. It really annoys me

i really hope they fixed this bug, I am to get the achievement all. sigh,hope its not they have been concentrating on HOT bugs and forgotten all about living world story bugs.

I have reported about this by submitting a ticket to ArenaNet since the previous day I found it myself. I’m still waiting for this issue to be neutralized – like those who have suffered from it before me.

STILL bugged…. and the oldest post about the “Meeting the Asura” bug is 10 months ago. Will it ever be fixed ? Is there a work-around that works for everyone?
