It seems that Duelist’s Discipline (Dueling trait IX: 30 points) is bugged and = less damage.

If you select this trait, the damage that your iduelist phantom does is less damage than not taking this trait at all. I can only assume that with the buff/fix to iduelist last patch that the IX Trait : Duelist’s Discipline is still somehow linked to the old damage of the iduelist phantom and not to the new fixed version.

I confirm this. I tested this out in the HoM with 20 points in Duel.
There is a about 20% reduction of damage of the Duelist phantasm when you take the trait duelist discipline.

Without the trait ~2.2k dmg.
With the trait, ~1.8k dmg.

Broken.

Its really a bug. Just turn on/off the trait and see the damage, you will find that Duelist’s discipline reduce iDuelist’s damage about 20%. The difference is too big to be ignored ! please fix it.

I ran some tests on dummies last night. I had no armor on and was only carrying a pistol (just trying to eliminate other factors).

When I enabled the Duelist’s Discipline Trait, the pistol phantasm damage reduced by approximately 20%.

Does the bug affect other phantasms as well or only the pistol one?

Also, I didn’t have a chance to test Magic Bullet; maybe the bug affects non phantasm pistol skills? Has anyone tried this?

Quite a major bug in my opinion.

Anet, you nerf Mesmer’s twice in one patch but you can’t even fix this?

Just tested it out today and it’s still broken. It has been about 20 days already. :/

Tonics win? How about looking at this issue that you broke last patch?

I have also observed this. A rough 20% decrease in DPS from the Duelists summoned while you have the trait active. None of the other similar traits (Greatsword/1h-Sword) seems to be broken in the same manner, which is always a plus I guess.

Tested today, still broken.

Still broken as of today’s patch. :/ More than a month now.

Today’s was a maintenance patch; it’s the one on the big updated on the 28th you want to pay attention to. And hope it doesn’t introduce more shenanigans like other big patch updates have.
