I have completed “My Story” and now when I scroll thru the entirety of “My Story” in the Hero Panel I can get as far as “Estate of Decay” and then the entire area goes blank! I can’t read any story past that or see any of the Items acquired during “My Story” (not that they have any use but…)

I have the same issue. Just for me, the last story I can read is “Starving the beast”. If I scroll any further the whole list of stories goes blank.
This is very annoying bug.

is there anyway to know if these bugs are being noticed by devs?

I think they are, but with so many more important bugs, I don’t think this one is on their priority list. Then again, who knows.

I’m getting this problem too. It’s annoying since I can’t see anything past Starving the Beast

in my Starving the Beast on my lvl 80 Char Zlaofnart the cannon dose not shoot into the area of the ship only bug that i have ever com across
and it is stopping my progress in my personalty story
unrelated id like to find more loot in the event that is currently going on 4 the face i kill so many creatures and seem to get very little loot

Same bug on my L80 character, and at the same place: “Estate of Decay”.

Never would’ve noticed it except for the fact that completing the personal story seems to have had the bizarre side-effect of trapping my character in any personal map instance with no means to exit except via waypoint or HotM.

Noticed it while trying to figure out the “trap” bug. No idea if there’s a connection.

I was planning to read through ‘my story’ after finishing the entire story for fun and comparison for other characters, but can’t see anything after ‘Estate of Decay’
I know this may be a low-ranked bug, but it is really frustrating when they can’t get something simple like this fixed.

I mean, isn’t this one of the more easier ones to fix? It maybe low on the list, but might as well fix it quickly and put it out of the list.

not sure when this broke cause I dont look at it often, but as you can see from the pictures if you scroll down to the bottom (past estate of decay) the listing vanishes completely.

I second this. It’s been doing this for me since I finished Estate of Decay. I’ve since finished the personal story on that character but still can’t see past Estate.

I’ve never had a reason to look at that tab but I see the same issue. I see it on 3 characters. Two of them have finished the personal story and one is at Victory or Death. Between them both the Estate of Decay and the Starving the Beast paths are covered.

In the tab that contains all the text regarding the personal story (at least for mine) there’s a couple of bugs:

1. In the “The Battle of Claw Island” the text is incomplete.
2. Upon trying to scroll down past “Estate of Decay”, it scrolls down all the way not allowing to see the rest of the misisons after that, or perhaps they’re missing.

Already reported this twice, through the game report system. A week ago and today, posting this just in case so it gets through.

I play a human guardian.
I’ve finished my personal story a few months back.
In the personal story section,in the hero page there
are a lot of story steps entries missing.
Scrolling down on the list it goes about halfway with
visible entries and from there down the list is empty.
The last visible entry is “Estate of Decay”.
From there on entries are lost

Hello, I was reading my personal story via [Hero > My Story] and I noticed two things that bothered me.

• The section titled [The Battle of Claw Island] is incomplete.
• I cannot meaningfully scroll past [Estate of Decay], when I do scroll past the side bar becomes completely blank.

Possible related information: I joined the Order of Whispers.

I have the same problem, if I try to scroll past Estate of Decay, it goes blank. And now that I look, I have the exact same issue with The Battle of Claw Island, too.

Engineer. Sylvari, universal multi-tool pack, the white stag, all things have a right to grow, cycle of night, charm. Chose Durmand Priory. I have no idea if any of that is relevant, but I guess it can’t hurt to include it.

I have the same problem (both of them), also at the same story mission ,but its been like that as long as i can remember. I hope they can fix it soon cos its bugging the hell out of me that i cant read the story’s of the last missions :/

Same thing here, and been like this for as long as i can remember.

This has been reported a whiiiiiiiile back. Never got the response nor the recognition from anet. Not even going to dream of a fix in a near future.

when I go under hero->personal story and scroll down (I’ve finished the personal story) I can only get to “state of decay” before the quest recap fly’s off the screen.

I am getting the same bug and it is happening at the same exact location (except I have the Starving the Beast quest instead of State of Decay). Went and completed another quest last night and the added quest in the list had no effect on where the list disappears. (It went blank after Starving the Beast both before and after.)

When I go to review my Personal Story on the “My Story” Pane of the Hero (“H”) tab, my story does not appear past “Starving the Beast.” If I try to scroll lower than “Starving the Beast,” all entries disappear. This is disappointing as the Personal Story was a very large selling point of the game.

This has been confirmed to happen on two different computers. Please advise on what I need to do to fix this.

I also have this issue. It is exactly at the same point where you scroll to “Staving the Beast” and the log disappears.

Since the wintersday patch the “My Story” tab is bugged. See my screenshots for details. I waited some time in hope for it resolving itself but it didnt. I finished the story some months ago.

I believe you mean the thing when you scroll down when you would like to see the last missions and the list then gets disappeared. This has been the case the whole time I have been playig, not only after wintersdays.

But fix would be great if you mean the thing I tried to explain :p

It worked before, I sometimes check the My Story tab when standing around waiting for someone. So I am unsure if the Wintertag patch is guilty or something else triggered it.

Well… This can be account based but in my case I believe it has been bugged the whole time I have been playing GW2 (About 2 months).

This one has been bugging me for awhile. When you go into the hero screen and click on the story tab, you cannot scroll all the way down, once you get to a certain point everything in the story disappears. And I’ve checked with guildies and they have the same problem.
Just letting you know that this has been happening for awhile, thinking it’s an easy fix i stayed dormant for awhile but i guess no one ever brought it up.

So I’m having an issue with the My Story Panel on the Hero screen. I was trying to review what choices I made with my first character but when I scroll past “Estate of Decay”, the rest of the panel shows blank.

I restarted the client, switched out characters a few times, still encountering this issue.

Attaching two screenshots. First one down as far as I can see, the second scrolled a bit more and everything in the list vanishes.

As a note I’ve tried two versions of Nvidia’s Geforce Drivers (306.97, 310.90)

I reported this in-game a couple of months ago, and it still isn’t fixed yet, so I figured I’d post here about it.

I think everyone has the same problem and my wife and I have reported it multiple times months ago! But they have yet to fix it.

Same problem as the first poster.

It is an ongoing bug. It has been like that since at least launch.

Same problem persists through Jan 28 game update.

I have had this bug for a while now with the personal story UI where you can inspect your progress, when I want to read the story and see what choices I made the first parts of the story are visible like normal but when I scroll down the story to see the last bits of the story I cannot select any of them because the list just disappears.

I have attached two pictures that should give better idea what I mean.

When reviewing the “My Story” panel of the Hero window you can only see Personal Quests up to and including “What the Eye beholds”. If you try to scroll even a little bit further down, just as you can make out the title of the following quest, the list goes completely empty. You can make the quest list reappear again by scrolling up far enough so that “What the Eye beholds” is once again at the very bottom of the window.

Seeing that this bug could be reproduced with multiple accounts on multiple computers with no occurence of the panel behaving as intended it would be interesting to hear if anybody does not experience this bug.

In hero panel, my story, try to scroll down, u dont see the story steps. Lots of empty space, and missing finished stories. I checked this with character who finished story.

I can just add myself to this list. Have this bug for weeks now.

I’m having an issue with the My Story interface, when I scroll the finished quests down to see the rest of them and the current one they dissapear. It happens right when the scroll bar gets to its bottom of the “gauge”.

If I scroll back up I can see some of them again…
