Guild Wars 2

So I’m standing in a zerg at a world boss, and a gold interact message pops up on my screen. It says “Pick Up” with the interact instructions following.

It doesn’t say if it’s a warrior’s banner or a random bundle on the ground or a quest item or an elementalist’s weapon. This is kind of important information to have in order to facilitate the encounters, right? Was this an intentional change?
