Bane the Insane Skill Point in Wayfayer Foothills appears to be bugged. I went in twice and beat him and got the notice I beat him but the skill point still shows as not having been done. Took a screen shot to show I did beat him.

He tells you a story after you’ve beaten him. That story grants you the skill point.

So you need to interact with him after you’ve beaten him.

Ah, thanks….well guess it’ts not bugged and guess I have to go back and do it again! Nothing like practice, heheheh.
