For about a week now I’ve been passing through the gate at Claypool, Queensdale and noticed that the light sources (torches) are brightening up as I approach and then dim again, but instead of displaying a brightening effect, they instead produce a darkening one which reflects off of nearby surfaces as a dark blue color. This happens in full sunlight so things turn very dark blue when in relative proximity of the observer.
I do not recall seeing the effect anywhere else.
