Black Lion Trading Bug
I’ve fixed it
Hey NuclearBlast,
how did you fixed your issue? I’m getting the exact same error each time I try to open the trading company window.
Kind regards.
fixed it using this thread:

Can Anyone explain how to fix this in English. Haven’t been able to access the trading post for 2 days now.

Here’s a translation…sorry, best I could do:
To fix this you need the CoherentUI_Host.exe (and rare in VERY cases the CoherentUI.dll) release in the firewall.
The Vogehen when Windows Firewall is relatively simple:
You call on the Start menu and go to the Control Panel
In the Control Panel, you click on System and Security
In the next screen then click Windows Firewall
You should now see the status of the firewall → Normally you should see quite a bit of green and accordingly behind status of the Windows Firewall there a
Click the top left of a program or feature through … ..zulassen
In the next dialog you see what programs are approved – click here to change settings
Well below the button should be activated to allow another program → click on their
In the next dialog you go to Browse
In the file dialog you will search the CoherentUI_Host.exe → which is located in a subfolder of your’m GW2 folder … for most people is likely that something like C: \ Program Files \ Guild Wars 2 \ bin be \
If you confirm the dialogue on open path should now be at the complete path of the CoherentUI_Host.exe be entered (for example: C: \ Program Files \ Guild Wars 2 \ bin \ CoherentUI_Host.exe) → leave the dialogue on the Add button
In the list of programs should now be an entry for Coherent UI – A Modern … .. emerge
That’s it. With OK you can exit the dialog.
I am having the same problem and the link doesn’t work for me. The game is unplayable at present with no chance of buying the new version if I cannot access the Trading Post. Did the link work for everyone?
I’ll try to give a better walkthrough in English
Open the Control Panel – Type “Control Panel” into the search bar on your Start screen (Win 7/8.1) or the search button next to the Start (Win 10)
Click on the System and Security category
Under the Windows Firewall section, click the text link that reads “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall”
On the next screen you may need to click the “Change Settings” button near the top of the screen. This may also require you to approve the action via a User Access Control warning pop-up.
Click the “Allow another app…” button below the list of apps.
In the window that appears, click the “Browse” and navivate to the ‘\bin folder’ within your GW2 installation. – The default location for this is C:\Program Files x86\Guild Wars 2\bin
Within the ‘\Guild Wars\bin’ folder, select CoherentUI_Host.exe and click the “Open” button.
(Optional) Back at the “Add an app/program” dialogue, you can click “Network Types” and also check the “Public Networks” option if you are playing the game while on a network not set as home/trusted. There isn’t really any risk in doing this even if it’s not necessary.
Click the “Add” button at the bottom of the window. Then click “OK” at the bottom of the screen.
The application used to view the trade post (CoherentUI_Host.exe) is now configured to allow inbound traffic through Windows Firewall. Outbound traffic is allowed by default, and should not need to be set.
You can still add outbound rules if the problem persists. The “New Rule” option is accessed by right clicking “Outbound Rules” within the Advanced Settings screen of Windows Firewall. This begins a process similar the one above to select a program to allow.

Thank you I managed to get it going using the older instructions. I am using Vista and it required a restart.
The very next day I played again (after updating) but the same error had appeared again :O
Anyways, going to try it again, I have double checked with your instructions and thank you for the extra info… Hopefully all is perfect Stay Epic!
I’m having this issue and I can’t seem to resolve it with the above instructions. :/

Do you have an additional firewall program running on your computer, likely incorporated into your anti-virus program like Avast? You would need to designate the Coherent process within this firewall program to be permitted unrestricted access to the internet in addition to being permitted in Windows Firewall.

If there is a third party firewall, it should have automatically disabled Windows Firewall. If it doesn’t, then it should be manually disabled.
Most products labeled as an ‘anti-virus’ don’t include their own firewalls, though. That’s a feature usually reserved for the “internet security” versions of the product. Packages like Kaspersky Internet Security or Eset Smart Security do have their own firewalls, while Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Eset NOD32 rely on Windows Firewall.
If your security software uses a “game mode”, it might be helpful to temporarily disable it. That feature typically disables all user prompts/interaction and sets a default policy of refusing incoming connections (if they lack specific allow rules). Disabling it should cause the program to prompt you to allow/deny the Coherent process, instead of automatically blocking it. After an allow rule is set, it’s safe to re-enable game mode.
