Blind/Blindness not working properly?
That depends on the exact mobs. Anything with a breakbar would be immune to it. Also there are some multiple hit attacks that aren’t very obvious such as when bears use their maul attack or a boar’s launch skill.
FWIW, the way to tell if the boss is immune is (roughly) that they have a blue break bar, and/or the icon is greyed out. The blindness doesn’t cause the attack to miss, but it does help eat away at the bar.
If it’s not doing that, could be one of two things: one, a bug, two, that they make many attacks, but the first one missed, and the rest landed. Mark II golems shooty things are terrible for that.
I figured that might have been the case however:
I tried another move as well, Black Powder, which also causes blindness to test as well and kept doing the tests today.
The arrowheads were my prime targets as they are slow in attack, do one attack as a main attack (so not multiple) AND yes they have the breakbar…
Well….after trying over and over and over to gain some consistent results:
1) The effect is on them as a debuff, however when they attack with any attack, it does not go away and “miss” as the debuff states it should.
2) Since it has a breakbar, it should lower the breakbar, however the breakbar does not move at all! It’s as if it wasn’t affected what so ever.
3) On other mobs that don’t have the breakbar, many times blind doesn’t work either, sometimes it does on smaller sized (like roots), but on medium and large (bigger sized avatars) it doesn’t seem to work at all.
So either there’s a bug with it not working as it should, OR, there’s a bug where it’s not removing an amount from the breakbar (if that’s how it should work instead.)
Just a friendly update!
Thanks for the replies!
Blindness is a “soft” CC, so it will do “damage over time” to the breakbar, rather than instantly reducing it. It ticks when condition damage ticks, once a second, as I understand it. For all the details, see the wiki on the subject

Went and tested on some arrowheads. Blindness really does nothing to the breakbar. Blindness should apply degen to the bar at the same rate as weakness but the bar does not move at all. When I start attacking and end up applying weakness through Lotus Poison it takes off around 20% of the bar.
huh! wow. that’s definitely not right. it should do small damage over time! good catch testing that thoroughly. that’s the sort of detail the developers need to figure out and fix it.
