So on the mission “Confessors Stronghold” in chapter “Out of the Shadows” when I press – (The special actions key) it shows the animation for the bloodstone exploding but it wont remove the shield for the Mauler. I’ve tried restarting my game, but that doesn’t do anything. Please help, the glitch is irritating me.

Is it supposed to explode? I thought the way to remove the shield was to position your character so that the beam from the Bloodstone passes through the shield.
