Boost enchantment powder(fixed)
If you have no Boosters in your inventory when attempting to use the Boost Enchantment Powder, it will, indeed, send you to the Gem Store to purchase some Boosters, as you need Boosters to use the Boost Enchantment Powder and thus, the Enchanted Reward Boost.
Once you have the appropriate Boosters in your inventory, using the Enchanted Reward Boost will allow you to exchange the kind of Booster one for one, (or in the case of Karma Boosters – two for one), into a different kind of Booster – once for each Boost Enchantment Powder/Enchanted Reward Boost. Thus, allowing you to free up space and/or obtaining only the kinds of Boosters you prefer, lasting one hour.
Yes. I understand how it is supposed to work. I understand that it is supposed to convert boosters in my inventory to a new powder to save space. However when I do this I lose 1 powder and the regular booster. I do not gain an extra boost enchantment powder.
In the past when I double clicked on the boost enchantment powder, it would offer a menu of what type of boost effect I wanted. Now it just opens the trade post window so I can buy more boosters. This also happens if I right click and select “Use”. So I can not use the boost enchantment powder as it worked previously.

You’re not supposed to get extra powder, and the powder didn’t give you the menu. When you use the powder, it turns one of your single boosters into a special booster that gives you the menu that lets you pick which boost you want.

When I “use” the powder or double click on the powder it opens the trade post window to buy more boosters. It does not give me the option to choose the booster(or the affect) that I want as it is supposed to.
And yes one of things that you supposed to be able to do is add to the pile of powders to save inventory room(1 inventor slot instead of many). It is not doing this in my case, instead it is removing the booster and 1 powder, instead of removing the booster and adding 1 powder to the pile.
This is why I have posted it and reported it as a bug. I do not know how much clearer I can be about this.

It is never supposed to add one Powder. Only use up a Powder. It will always send you to the Gem Store if you do not have the appropriate needed regular Boosters in your inventory.
Maybe we don’t understand your issue, or you don’t understand how it works. You can, of course, contact CS and discuss the issue with them. Good luck.
Ok I ran “-repair”. And now it is giving me Enchanted Reward Boosts that I can use instead of just destroying the booster and the powder. I still have no idea what was causing the bug I had though.

yeah I tried to get them to fix this a month ago. I will try the repair…nothing else works

Unfortunately for me the “repair” did not fix the problem. Glad it worked for you though. Maybe Anet will address this bug soon, but I am not holding my breath.
