Hello!

Bootyface appears to be broken in-game chat. Instead it produces result seen in attached picture. I wish this could be fixed as it has quite importance in showing emotions via text chat. Also the limitless joke and role playing opportunities are quite an asset on fixing this bug.

EDIT: It appears the font used in game and here in the forums doesn’t contain required characters needed for the bootyface

As a role-player on Piken Square, we don’t usually use emoticons in chat. We just use the custom emotes ( /em) to describe how a character feels, or what they are doing.

I think this one can be filed under “Bigger fish to fry” on this one, sorry.

Yeah, the RPers in GW2 use custom emotes to roleplay, with occasional things done in /say chat. As penelope said, “bigger fish to fry”; there’s no need for them to change chat to allow for this, and putting someone to work on doing it would take work away from a more important thing.
