As of 10:00 PM last night, during a period in which we controlled our orb in our home Borderlands, Dragonbrand Borderlands to be precise, and our orb disappeared from the map. We had it in our own Garrison, in the altar, when suddenly we lost the bonus, the orb disappeared from the map, the world event started, yet it was still seen at the altar. After the world event ended, the orb avatar then disappeared from our altar and ended back up at the starting altar.
Now we’re not sure if this is a bug, or a mechanic built into the game to make it a bit more challenging for all those involved, but it is definitely not something that myself, or anyone else in our server is aware of, and it is something that needs to be fixed if it is not a mechanic built in.
